Enjoy the bank holiday, especially this lovely weather we are due to have.
Please keep our pets safe and be aware of the sudden increase in heat. Provide shade and plenty of water for all our furry family members ☀️
Only walk your dogs when it is cool 😎

🐾May is Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month 🐾

Here at Camlas we are lucky to have an amazing team of 4 Registered veterinary nurses. We also have the privilege of training the next generation of nurses 💚

Did you know that Veterinary Nurses are :

💚 Anaesthetist's - they closely monitor their patients while anaesthetised and sedated.
💚 Recovery nurses - they ensure the safe recovery of all patients that have undergone procedures.
💚 Lab technician - they are the ones who run all our in house blood samples - perform microscopy and urinalysis to name a few.
💚 Pharmacists - prepare and dispense medication.
💚 Ward nurse - Caring and medicating the poorly inpatients.
💚 Nurse Clinics - our nurses do all the post operative checks, as well as Senior - Dental - Arthritic - Adolescence checks. And immunotherapy injections.
💚 Phlebotomist - taking the blood samples for in house and external testing.
💚 Radiologist - Positioning, taking and developing x-rays.
💚 The RVN qualification is by no means and easy qualification to gain and maintain their RVN status they have to complete 35 hours a year of certified CPD

🐾This is only a small mention of what our Nurses do day to day 💚 We are very fortunate to have a great team of skilled and professional Veterinary Nurses who ensure the practice runs smoothly and your pets are well cared for🐾

We know that saying goodbye is one of the hardest moments you’ll face as a pet owner. We have been busy creating a space at the practice that allows families to sit together, take your time, and say goodbye in a peaceful, private setting. We hope that this can make a difficult time just a little bit easier.

Last night we held our client information evening on Osteoarthritis alongside Grace GB Vet Physiotherapy . We hope everyone that attended found the evening interesting and enjoyed the cake 🍰 😉. If you think your pet may be struggling with arthritis then please book an appointment with one of our vets https://www.cvsvets.com/wales/camlas-petcare-vets/appointments. If you think your pet would benefit from Physiotherapy Grace holds clinics at the practice on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
