GOOD INSTRUCTORS CREATE GOOD DOGS
Not through pressure or rushing progression, but through observation, planning, confidence building, and clear coaching.
Great scent instructors understand that every dog learns differently. Some dogs need more confidence building, some need clearer motivation, and others need simpler setups before progressing further. A strong instructor learns how to adapt the training to the dog in front of them instead of forcing every team through the same process.
At UCS we focus heavily on teaching instructors how to read search behaviour, coach handlers effectively, structure progression properly, and protect confidence throughout training.
Because great search dogs are not created by luck.
They are created through thoughtful instruction and good training decisions.
