A NEW CHAPTER AWAITS 🐾

After lots of thought, I’ve decided to make some changes to JJL’s Happy Paws from September onwards.

One of the hardest parts of running a dog walking business has been balancing caring for everyone else’s precious dogs with having enough time to enjoy my own two girls, Wilma & Maple. As I begin an exciting new time in my life and move into my own home, I’ve realised just how important it is to me to have more time to spend with them - taking them on adventures, enjoying our walks together and making the most of the precious time we have 🤎

So, from September, I will no longer be offering regular dog walking and will instead be specialising in the services I love most:

💍 Wedding Dog Chaperoning
🐶 Dog Sitting & Drop-Ins
🐱 Cat Sitting & Drop-Ins

This decision hasn’t been made lightly, and I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who has trusted me with their dogs for walks since I started in January. You’ve helped JJL’s Happy Paws grow into something I’m so incredibly proud of, and I’ll always be grateful for that ❤️

I’m especially excited to continue growing my Wedding Dog Chaperone service, as helping couples include their precious dogs into one of the biggest days of their lives brings me so much joy 🥹💒

This isn’t the end of JJL’s Happy Paws - it’s simply a new chapter, one that feels much more right for me, my own pets and the kind of business I want to build 🥰

Enquiries and meet & greets are now open for September onwards, and I’d absolutely love to welcome some new faces, paws and whiskers to the gang 🐾✨

Who remembers this precious boy?! 🥹🐾

Rory and I had a little catch-up over coffee with his mum today, and it was so good to see this handsome Chowski again! 🥰

I first met Rory when I went along to Winwick Bark LTD - Dog Grooming for a grooming taster day, so it feels extra special that I’ll now be looking after him myself very soon 🥹

I’m SO excited to spend some proper time with this special boy in just a few weeks — I think we’re going to have the best time together! 🤎

A little update from today’s wedding meeting🤍 Everybody, meet Luna! 🐾

This gorgeous girl is an 8-year-old Cockapoo with the most human eyes and the sweetest personality!🥹 She will have the very important job of walking down the aisle at her pawrents’ wedding early next year 💍

I had the loveliest afternoon getting to know Luna today — she was so friendly, loved her belly rubs and was more than happy to accept plenty of treats from me! 😂🤎 She’s also very serious about her job as garden security, keeping a close eye on the cats that dare to enter her patrol area! 🐱👀

Between now and then, Luna will be coming over for some little familiarisation visits so she can get to know me, my home and feel completely comfortable before the big day🏡

Luna is sadly due to have an operation on her little legs soon, so for now it’s all about taking things at her pace, giving her plenty of love and helping her recover 🥰 She’s still absolutely full of life though, and once she’s healed, we’ll slowly introduce short walks back into her routine when she’s strong enough 💪🏼

I already can’t wait to watch this sweet girl grow in confidence with me over the next few months and I feel so priveliged to be trusted with another wedding dog chaperone booking, helping another lovely couple make more special memories with their baby girl on their big day 💍🐶✨

A little appreciation post for the dogs that started it all.. As many of you now know, I’ll soon be moving into my first house, which means I’ll sadly be saying goodbye to some of the incredible dogs (and their wonderful owners) who have been with JJL’s Happy Paws since the very beginning 🥲

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing my final walks with each of these amazing pups before taking a little time out while I move and settle into my new home🐕🏡

Since the beginning, I’ve watched puppies grow up, learned every little quirk and personality, played endless games of fetch, handed out a crazy amount of treats, and said “good boy!” and “good girl!” so many times the dogs are probably sick of hearing my voice by now 😆

I’ve loved every excited greeting at the door and every cheeky moment along the way… whether that was diving into ponds, rolling in something they definitely shouldn’t have, or pretending they couldn’t hear me when it was time to head home 🙉

To all of my amazing owners, thank you for trusting me with your babies, watching me grow in confidence and supporting my little business from day one 🫶🏼

And to my wonderful four-legged friends… thank you for every muddy paw print in my car, every cuddle and kiss, every slobbery ball and every smile looking up at me while we walk along. I’ll carry all of these memories with me into this next chapter 🥹

This isn’t goodbye forever, as I’m sure I’ll see many of you out and about on your own adventures. But I’ll miss your gorgeous faces, your little wet noses and seeing you every week more than you’ll ever know ❤️

Here’s to the dogs that started it all… and to the next chapter for JJL’s Happy Paws 🐾

✨ Look who’s back! ✨

We are SO happy to have Bridie back out walking with us after her leg operation! 🐾💕

Her tail was wagging from start to finish, so I think it’s safe to say she’s just as happy to be back as we are and it was so lovely to see her back alongside her bro Barney again 🥹

Of course, she received an abundance of treats (as she always does! 🍖) and plenty of fusses for being such a good girl. Whilst she’s healing brilliantly, we still need to take things nice and steady, so there were parts of today’s walk where she stayed on her lead to make sure she doesn’t literally run before she can walk! 😂

She’s been such a superstar through her recovery, and seeing her so happy, bright and enjoying herself again absolutely made my day ❤️

Welcome back, Bridie! We’ve missed you! 🐶

Final walk day for these handsome boys, Snoop & Rory 🐾🩵

I’ve not seen these boys too often recently as one of their pawrents has thankfully been back on their feet after an operation, but it was so lovely to be back with them today for my final walk. We only went for a short stroll, but we made the most of it and managed to get some very cute kitchen photos afterwards! 📸🐶

It’s been so lovely watching Rory grow over the last few months. Looking back at the puppy photos I shared not that long ago, I can’t believe how big he’s got already! He’s definitely catching up to his big brother Snoop, although they’ll always be my little sausage boys 🥹

Thank you both for all the cuddles and laughs over the last few months. As two of my original Happy Paws boys, you’ve both been a special part of my journey right from the beginning 🥰

I’m going to miss our walkies together, but I’m sure I’ll still be seeing you both whenever I see your second mothers, Jess & Amber! ❤️

Be good, boys… and keep those little sausage legs moving! 🌭🐶
