A little story about the kindness of the F4P community.

I had a rather concerned call from Laurie to say he had left his dogs favourite toy (and the only one she will come back for!!) on the roof of his car, so said he thought it would be in the car park. I called Michael, the following client, and asked him to call me if he sees it.

Later on, Michael called me to say the toy was found near the hospital roundabout! It was now safe and sound in Michaels home. The toy was collected and safely reunited with a very happy dog and owner! A big thank you to Michael for his rescue mission!

This really restored a bit of my faith in humanity!

I've been looking after Alf for a few days. He had the proper zoomies at F4P this morning while me and Ben were doing all the field checks. Check out those ears!! 😍🚶🐕

I had a good sort out in our Swap Shop today! So many wonderful things that could be useful for your dogs. Lots of coats and jumpers for the coming winter. Even a couple of cat items! And a child size pair of wellies and coat!

The Swap Shop is designed for you to bring anything your dog no longer needs and swap for something more useful to you. Or, you can take anything away and make a small donation to www.cinnamon.org.uk A wonderful charity who help terminally ill and elderly people with their pets. Taking them for a walk, vet appointments, anything the owner cannot manage either temporarily or permanently. It really is a great cause. You can donate via the QR code on the sign in the Swap Shop, or via the website.

Hi all. This post is to ensure that F4P stays beautiful for all you lovely people who enjoy the space with your dogs. So many of our visitors really do look after the place, and we thank you for that.

Unfortunately, there are the odd few… We have recently had some instances of food being left on the picnic tables, cigarette butts on the floor around the tables (need I say more with the grass as dry as it is…) and equipment and benches being moved and left, rather than put back where they should be, and this morning a broken chair.

If you do move stuff, that’s fine. But please do put it back where it came from, because I can’t. I have said before that I have a disability which means I can’t move the heavy stuff so I then have to wait for help. My friends tried to move the bench back where it should be this morning, but we just couldn’t do it between us. So now I will have to employ some stronger people to move it for me.

If you take food to the field, please make sure you clear up after yourselves. There are 2 bins on site, or you could simply take it home with you. We do not want dogs picking things up that they shouldn’t.

If you break anything, or find it broken, please report it to me so that I can get it fixed or move it to safety.

And lastly, if you are going to smoke in a field which is like a tinder box, then please just don’t come to F4P.

Again, thanks to all the wonderful clients who use and enjoy the field regularly, and who treat it with the utmost respect.

6am, 8pm and 9pm slots are filling rapidly during this predicted heat. You will need to book ahead if you want one of these spaces.

Also, I was just wondering if anyone would use a 5am slot for the next couple of weeks?
