Everyone say Hi to Loki 👋!
Loki had a 121 session with me recently to discuss recall! Loki is a 9 month old cocker spaniel who has recently regressed with his recall and his owners contacted me for some help!
We started the session in the garden looking at Loki's recall in low distracting environments, he absolutely smashed this so we decided to go for a small walk to the local field to try on a long-line in a more realistic situation.
Loki has a great foundation for his recall so we spent lots of time reinforcing that and giving him some easy wins whilst discussing different ways to give Loki and his parents the most success with recall!
Loki did a fantastic job and it's clear to see how much work his parents had put in already!

Lara is a 4 year old Greek hare hound cross Pointer from Cyprus!

Lara is currently doing a block 121 booking with us as over the last couple of years Lara's owners have noticed increased levels of anxiety and reactivity.

Lara is such a sweet girl and was a huge fan of the large selection of treats I brought with me 😂 We have had a couple of sessions together now and so far we have looked at building Lara's confidence outside as it gets darker, distraction tools to help minimise the reactions when outside and Scent work to help give Lara a job to do and decrease her stress levels.

In only a few weeks Lara's family have commented on how much happier Lara seems to be which as a result is making a difference to her behaviour outside.

These guys were super busy at our last Scent Detection workshop!

We looked at teaching the dogs to detect the Scent ID, then we looked at line-up searches, bag searches and chair searches!

These guys absolutely smashed it and were absolutely exhausted by the end of it! We can't wait to see them back for part 2!

As a trainer, owner of a nervous dog & a vet receptionist I'm a big believer that every dog should be muzzled trained just in case!

Muzzles are not just for dangerous dogs they can be used for dogs who are nervous, unwell and even for dogs who like to eat everything in sight! There are many different reasons why a dog may need a muzzle, so why not provide some extra mental enrichment for you dog and teach them how to feel comfortable in a muzzle should you ever need it!

This handsome chap is Goose!

Goose is an eight month old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, he had a 121 session with us to help with his loose-lead, recall and jumping up - all very common adolescent issues!

Goose's owners have put a lot of work into him already so he is a super good boy! They just needed some guidance on a few little things!

We look at different ways to reinforce recall in a fun way and how to get the most out of loose-lead walking by changing certain habits before you leave the home and when you get back!

We hope to see Goose back again soon to see how he's improved and how much he's grown!
