Here she goes again… another little moan from me 😂🙈

I promise I don’t actually spend my whole life moaning… although judging by my Facebook posts lately, it definitely looks like I do 😂😂

But please, please, please if you can’t make your appointment, just drop me a quick message and let me know ❤️🐾

Since coming back to work I’ve deliberately booked a much smaller amount of dogs in to ease myself back into things.

Over the last 3 days I had 15 dogs booked in (which is actually a quiet 3 days for me!). Out of those, I groomed 11, had 3 no-shows and there was 1 dog I couldn’t groom due to the dog’s circumstances — absolutely no fault of the owner ❤️

So that’s 4 empty appointments when I’ve got other doggies waiting to get in 😩🐶

I totally understand that plans change and life happens — I’m not going to hunt you down 😂 — but if you need to cancel or rearrange, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice wherever possible. It gives me a chance to offer your appointment to someone else.

Obviously genuine emergencies happen and sometimes 48 hours isn’t possible — just let me know as soon as you can ❤️

And while I’ve got my moaning hat on… DEPOSITS 😂🙈

Please remember to send your deposit when you book. I don’t have the time (or quite frankly the brain cells at the end of the day 😂) to sit chasing deposits every night, so I really do rely on you to send them over to confirm your appointment.

Right… moan over! 😂😂

I promise my next post will hopefully contain a cute dog rather than me nagging you all 🤣🐶❤️

Thank you as always for supporting me and my little business — I really do appreciate you all.

Cancel/rearrange = 48 hours’ notice ❤️
Deposits = please remember them 🙏
Me = shutting up now 😂

Thank you everyone ###

A Little Recovery Update ❤️🐾

Hi everyone,

I had my 2 week post-op check-up at the hospital today. They checked my incision, redressed it and unfortunately, I’m not healing quite as quickly as I’d hoped.

I’ve been advised that I really shouldn’t be returning to work just yet. However, as I’m self-employed and don’t get paid when I’m not working, I’m going to carefully return to the salon tomorrow. And if I’m being completely truthful… I’m really missing all your doggies too! 🐶❤️

I do need to listen to my body though, so for the time being I will only be grooming smaller, easier-to-manage dogs. I know this isn’t ideal and I hate having to move appointments, but I need to make sure I heal properly and don’t end up setting myself back even further.

If you have a larger dog, or a dog that requires a little more lifting, strength or handling during their groom, I’m going to need just a little longer before I can safely have them back in the salon. I’m hoping this will be towards the end of next week or the beginning of the following week. I’ll be contacting anyone affected to rearrange your appointment, and I really appreciate your patience while I give myself that little bit of extra time to heal properly. ❤️🐾

Also, if your dog isn’t desperate for their groom and you’d be happy to wait just a few more days until next week, I would really appreciate anyone who is able to reschedule. It would make such a difference while I ease myself back into work. ❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who has been patient, understanding and sent lovely messages while I’ve been recovering. I’m desperate to get back to normal, but apparently my body has other ideas! 😂

Please bear with me for just a little longer. I promise I’ll get everyone sorted as soon as I safely can.

Lots of love,
Nichola 🐾❤️

Morning everyone ❤️ Just a little update from me…

I’m healing well and getting there day by day. I’m still very bruised and sore, but overall I’m doing well.

I’ve come over to the caravan for a week to properly rest, as being at home was making it far too tempting to start doing jobs! 😂 I’ve deliberately left my diary at home so I can have a little break from work and concentrate on recovering.

🐾 The salon will reopen on Wednesday 19th August, although I am already fully booked that day.

For the first couple of weeks, I’m going to have to be a little careful with what I take on, so I won’t be grooming larger dogs or dogs that are particularly difficult or physically demanding.

My consultant has actually advised me to take six weeks off work, but I’ve made the decision to return after two. I’m really looking forward to getting back to the salon, but I do need to be sensible and listen to my body, otherwise I risk setting my recovery back.

I hope everyone can understand and bear with me. ❤️

I will admit that a few of the messages I’ve received have been a little upsetting, particularly being asked why I chose to have my operation in August, why I can’t just groom one particular dog and no one would know, or being told that someone is fed up of waiting and will go elsewhere.

I completely understand that everyone wants to get their dogs booked in, and if you do need to use another groomer while I recover, I absolutely understand. But the timing of my operation wasn’t something I chose for convenience — it was necessary, and unfortunately sometimes life has to take priority over work.

I don’t have my diary with me at the caravan, so if you’ve messaged and I haven’t replied, I promise I’m not ignoring you. I just really needed to give myself these couple of weeks to step away from the salon and properly recover.

I’ll be home next week and will start working through everyone’s messages and appointments then. 🐾

And finally, a huge thank you to the vast majority of you who have been absolutely lovely. ❤️ The kind messages, well wishes and patience have meant more than you probably realise.

I’ll be back before I know it — just perhaps moving a little slower than usual! 😂❤️🐾

Morning everyone ❤️

Just a little update to let you all know that I am now home and out of hospital. Unfortunately, I’ll admit the operation has knocked the wind out of my sails a little more than I expected, so I’m going to need a bit of time to rest and recover.

I really do appreciate all of my customers and your continued support, but could I please ask that you give me a few days before messaging about appointments.

I have already received a message saying, “I know you’re in hospital, but can I book my dog in?” 🙈😂 and whilst I genuinely appreciate that you want to get your dogs booked in with me, at the moment I need to put my recovery first.

The appointment book isn’t going anywhere, and neither am I! 🐾❤️ I just need a few days where I can concentrate on getting myself back on my feet without worrying about work.

I’ll let everyone know when I’m ready to start taking bookings and replying to appointment messages again.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and all the lovely well wishes. They really are appreciated. ❤️

For the next few days, doctor’s orders: rest first, dog diary second! 😂🐶

Just wanted to say Thankyou for the well wishes/cards and gifts I have received prior to today. The operation was a success, I'm still a bit groggy and in a bit of pain but nothing too major! Having a night in here then hopefully home tomorrow. I must say the staff in here are absolutely fantastic, all so friendly 💕💕 and you my lovely customers are so kind and caring again Thankyou my lovelies ❤️❤️
