Hi
I have been showing and breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for around 39 years. I am also still a member of The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel club and Northern Cavalier ckcs club. I only usually have 1 sometimes 2 litters per year. As looking after mum and her babies is very time consuming and a loy of hard work. But on the other hand is extremely gratifying. i get loads of pleasure from
my dogs and all the new people i meet along the way. some of my puppy owners have become very good friends. I regularly health check my dogs and ensure the hearts of my prospective dog and bitch parents are as healthy, or as good as possible if over 5 years old, This is as recomended by Cavalier King Charles Spaniel club guidelines, By adhering to this advice hopefully our Cavalier companions will live longer. The grandfather of my babies (BENTLEY) lived until 12 1/2 years old when he eventually had to be put to sleep as his organs were failing. he only had a very slight heart murmur. His Mother (DINXY) was also 12 1/2 years old when she had to leave me. she had 3 strokes before we finally agreed she had stayed with me long enough (I have a tear in my eye as i am writing this, i loved her so very much) again she only had a slight murmur for her age. Bentleys dad Whisky was 11 1/2 years old when he escaped from his garden and was killed on a road. Bentley's grandmother (CONEY) was 10 1/2 when she died from heart faliure. she had a bad heart from the age of around 5 or 6. she was buried in an idllyc spot on a hill where i spent my childhood. If you would like any help in finding the right puppy for you, i am always willing to help. I will not be offended if my dogs or puppies are not for you, we are all different and we all want different things. Wouldnt it be so boring if we all liked the same things. Good luck in your searches !!!!!!!!! Bye for now, please come again soon. update 5th July 2021
Bentleys son "Sunny" has gone over rainbow bridge today. he had terrible arthritis and his back legs finally gave way. he seemed happy enough until this last week when he deteriorated quite fast. He is buried beneath a pear tree in our front garden where he loved to play with his babies on the grass. RIP Sunny you are sorely missed.
