🐶 Are you looking for a compassionate dog-led groomer? 🐶

My name is Claire and I have been fortunate to have welcomed lots of new floofs here at Paws Fur Effect in the last few months. I work with your dog at their own pace with no rushed appointment time frames to ensure that they have a positive experience with lots of breaks, reassurance & treats.

Puppies, seniors, anxious and everything inbetween are very welcome.

🐶 The photo below demonstrates perfectly what I mean by 'POSITIVE DOG-LED GROOMING 🐶

This is Teddy and he came to see me on Saturday for his first ever groom with me.

Here at Paws Fur Effect I take the time to get to know each and every dog that comes to be groomed to create a comfortable and positive experience.
● I introduce them to the environment, allow them to have a good sniff around and if my fellow groomers have no clients in themselves they can go off lead to wander around inside and outside while I talk to their human about their dog - Allergies, fears & quirks, any physical problems etc.
● I always leave myself ample appointment times to enable an un-rushed, stress-free groom.
● I listen, observe & follow their lead, work with them all to ensure that they are completely happy during their time spent with me.
● As I have longer grooming appointments I make sure that your dog has regular breaks so that they can go into our enclosed garden, lots of treats (if allowed) and unlimited cuddles
● Grooming restraints ( head loops ) are only used for your dog's safety when needed.

Going back to Teddy ( in my photo ) he was so at ease & relaxed and understood the grooming process without me saying a word...As you can see he made this table his chosen place to be so that was absolutely no problem and I groomed him there...Totally relaxed and slept during his de-shed and brush out.

This little cutie is Leia a 'Cavapoochon' and another new member of my ever-growing happy pack of floofs here at Paws Fur Effect.

Leia's tail never stopped wagging throughout her whole full groom, such a sweetie. See you again in 8 weeks.

I was SO excited to groom her ♥

Meet Shelby an 8 yr old 'Airedale' which is the largest of the Terrier breeds and her first grooming appointment with me.

I loved every minute of grooming her and Shelby totally understood the whole grooming process and was a happy girl from start to finish. I am looking forward to doing it all again on a 6-8 weekly schedule going forward.

Meet Coco a 'Standard Poodle' who came to see me for a full groom.
This was her first appointment with me & sadly her once regular schedule had lapsed and therefore her coat was matted to the skin ( it resembled a sheep's 🐑 )

The only option was to have a complete restart and to have a short clip all over so that Coco was comfortable. She was such a good girl as the process took a long time to complete and she was an absolute dream throughout. Coco is now going to be on a 6-8 week appointment so that I can hopefully leave some length in her coat...However whichever way she is a stunning girl.

Very well done Coco 🌟 🐶 🐾 ♥

This is Georgie a senior 'Sprocker Spaniel' girl of 10 yrs and her visit to me here at Paws Fur Effect.
Again (due to the heat) a short clip all over was requested bar her top knot, ears & tail.
Georgie was a super sweet girl to groom and is now going to be on an 8 week grooming schedule with me.

Bruno & Blue are part of a pack of 4 very clever 'Spaniels' who work as 'Bedbug Detection Dogs'.

It was their turn for a groom as I'd only recently groomed Paddy & Roger a short while ago.

Such happy wonderful boys to work with & it is always an absolute pleasure.
