Sunflower Vets will be closed from Thursday 16th April - Monday 20th April due to holidays.

Phones and messages will not be frequently monitored during this time. If you would like to book an appointment from Tuesday 21st April onwards then please leave a message and we will get in touch as soon as we are back. The best way to ensure that your message is received is to use WhatsApp or the online contact form.

If you need an urgent appointment, please contact your usual veterinary practice. If they are closed, you can contact Vets Now Kilmarnock (01563 257114) or Vets Now Glasgow (0141 328 7513).

We post a lot of Zack, so let's introduce Boris 🐈‍⬛️.

It's rare for Steph to have time alone at her desk, there will usually be at least one cat present. If you've ever phoned us, you may have heard relentless meowing in the background - that was probably Boris!

Boris's favourite things are pillows, face scritches and a scratching post. His least favourite things are being ignored, the doorbell and being given medication.

☎️ Phone Line Issues ☎️

We are currently experiencing issues with our phone line, where calls are not always coming through. This can mean that we don't receive a missed call notification, or a voicemail when a message has been left.

If you have not received a call back, we apologise profusely. We would never deliberately fail to call back. Please do reach out again if you are waiting for a response.

In urgent cases, phoning is best in the first instance, however if the call goes straight to voicemail without ringing first, there's a good chance we won't see it. The most reliable way to contact us is via WhatsApp or through the contact form on the website. If you are contacting us this way for an urgent request, please do make that clear in your message.

Apologies for any inconvenience, we will hopefully have this issue fully resolved shortly.

Today is International Dog Day! Steph and Morgan's dog Zack has become a bit of an unofficial mascot for Sunflower Vets, so we thought we'd use this opportunity to tell you all a bit more about him.

Favourite things: water (the swampier the better!), snacks, sleep
Least favourite things: baths, surprises, nail trims
