Friday 🐾 - unfortunately, not every day is fluffy adventures and happy faces.In fact, one of today’s clients decided to sample some human poo 🤢😭. Yes, I told the owner.
Yes, I was horrified. Yes, I picked up the remaining human poo 😭🤦‍♀️.

In all seriousness though, it’s always a worry when they eat something they really shouldn’t, especially when you have absolutely no idea what the person may have consumed 😬. Thankfully, the dog in question has zero regrets at the moment 👀😂. He is completely unbothered and just carrying on with life like nothing happened! I, on the other hand, will definitely be worrying about the little culprit for the next couple of days. 😅🤦‍♀️. I mean… s**t happens in this job. Quite literally. 😭😂🤦‍♀️

So, just a little reminder, guys… if you’re going to poo in the woods, PLEASE PICK IT UP! 😭👀🤦‍♀️. Or better yet… use an actual toilet. 😂🚽

Wednesday - amazing day of adventures today. I was absolutely lovin' the rain ☔♥️. Well done to new boy Gary, he took the pack walk in his stride and everybody liked him 🥰. He was just a little unsure about the crate so we will switch him to the seat next week to see if his happier there 🥰♥️. Big shout out to little Max too, as I've had three weeks off and he is very timid. But he was so happy to see me and slotted back in perfectly ♥️. Also, very relaxed around new boy Gary.

If I’m not being followed by a pack of dogs, I’m being followed by a sea puppy! 🦭😂. If you feel like something’s watching you, it probably is! Dun dun dun… 🦈👀 (jaws theme tune was definitely playing in my head).This little stealthy seal followed us around whilst we were snorkelling in the murky water. It thought I was unaware 🤫

I was secretly hoping it would be brave enough to nibble my fin, I definitely wouldn’t have been mad! 🥹

Although they are super cute, remember it's important to always respect wildlife. Never approach or corner them. In this case this little dude wanted to watch us and we had ZERO complaints. 🦭❤️.

Did you know? Seals have very complex bacteria and pathogens in their mouth. So you do not want to risk a bite. Not only is it stressful for the animal but it can cause severe infections in humans which can result in amputation. So yes they are cute but no touchy 🙅. It's not good for the seal or you!

Instructions were simple, “LIE DOWN.” Hugo complied... well at least for two seconds 😂. This pup has clearly decided that the cone of shame and bandage are not going to stand between him and his zoomies after a month of recovery following a rather dramatic blanket related accident 🤦‍♀️🫢. Bless his soul, he still has a good few weeks left and needs at least two toes amputated.

WARNING ⚠️: loose blankets can be surprisingly dangerous if your dog likes to chew, dig or burrow. This lad unfortunately found that out the hard way. ❤️🐾

Risk for Intestinal Blockage: Swallowing fabric pieces, yarn, or long threads can trap the digestive tract, requiring emergency surgery.

Choking: Loose threads or torn chunks can lodge in the dog's throat.

Trapping & Suffocation: Weak or medicated dogs can become tightly cocooned or trapped underneath heavy fabrics, restricting their breathing.

Entanglement; Ripped fabric creates long threads that can wrap tightly around a dog’s toes, paws, or limbs. This creates a tourniquet effect that cuts off blood circulation, which can lead to severe tissue damage, necrosis, and potential limb amputation.

So a little reminder for everybody to inspect blankets regularly and discard immediately if frayed or torn.

Wednesday crew - so pleased that little Max wanted to join in with the group photos this week 🥰♥️. He was super confident and happy within the pack from the get go this week 👏. I love watching the more nervous dogs grow in confidence.

Also one of Clover's smaller humans bought her a hat 😂. So ofc I was happy to oblige by getting some snaps. Doesn't she look gorgeous for the summer 👒🫢♥️
