There's something about horses that just quiets my mind. 🐴

The size of them, the softness in their eyes, the way they lean into a touch when they trust you – it's a different kind of connection to any other animal, and one I never take for granted.

Being around horses reminds me why I do what I do. That same patience, that same quiet trust-building – it's exactly what I bring to every dog, cat and puppy I care for too. Animals communicate in the smallest ways and learning to listen to that is a huge part of what makes this job so special to me.

There's nothing quite like puppy love. 🐾

That little face, those clumsy paws, the way they fall asleep mid-play like they've just run out of battery – honestly, it gets me every time. Puppies have this way of making everything feel a little softer, a little sillier, and a lot more joyful.

But let's be honest – as much as we adore them, puppies can be a LOT. The zoomies, the chewing, the 5am starts... it's a beautiful kind of chaos!

And here's something I want every new puppy owner to hear: it's okay to need a break. So many of you feel guilty leaving your pup even for an hour or two – but you deserve time for yourself too. And the truth is, you'll both appreciate each other even more when you're reunited.

🍁 5 little ways to help your pet adjust as the seasons change

The move from summer into autumn means changing temperatures, shorter days and often a change in our own routines too – and our pets notice it!

A few simple things can help:

Keep walks, meals and bedtime routines consistent.
Make sure they have a warm, cosy place to retreat to.
Check paws after wet or muddy walks.
Keep up play and enrichment even when you're spending less time outside.
And, naturally, allow time for plenty of cuddles!

For a limited time, my overnight house sitting rates are lower:

🐶 2 dogs overnight: £45 (was £55)
🐱 Cats & small pets overnight: £40 (was £45)
