Meet Bolt! ⚡️

He came in last week for a lump removal and was back in today for his first post-op check-up!

😎 We also have to say… Bolt was absolutely rocking his “groovy cone” and looking very handsome while doing it! 🍉

Gypsy came in to see us for a dental procedure!

🦷 Dental care is so important for our pets, as untreated issues can cause discomfort and lead to more serious health problems.

After her procedure, Gypsy enjoyed lots of post-op cuddles with our Animal Care Assistant Jasmine - which definitely helped her feel much better! 🥰

Husky the cat came in for her spay procedure and was an absolute star ❤️

Spaying is a routine operation that helps prevent unwanted litters and reduces the risk of serious health issues later in life.

🐱 If you’re thinking about getting your cat spayed, feel free to contact us for advice!

Winnie rushed straight down to us after helping herself to some raisins at home - a very good decision by her owner to act quickly!

🍇 Why are raisins dangerous?
Raisins (and grapes) are toxic to dogs, and frustratingly, we still don’t fully understand why or how much causes poisoning. Some dogs can become seriously unwell even after eating a small amount, while others may not show symptoms - which is why we never take chances!

⚠️ What do we do?
Because the toxic dose is unknown, the safest approach is to make them sick as soon as possible to remove the raisins from their system before they can cause harm 🤮

Winnie was feeling very sorry for herself after her visit, but she was in the best hands and received plenty of reassurance (and cuddles!) from RVN Bec 🥰

Enzo popped in for his regular injection to help manage his Addison’s disease!

Addison’s disease is a condition where a dog’s body doesn’t produce enough essential hormones that help control stress, energy, and salt balance.

It can make dogs feel tired, weak, or unwell, but it can usually be well managed with regular medication or injections!

Enzo is one of our familiar friendly face here at the practice - he’s always happy to come in, say hello to everyone, and never turns down a tasty biscuit 🥰

Lando spent the day with us recently for his castration procedure and to have his microchip implanted!

Microchipping is a quick and simple procedure that provides a permanent form of identification, helping to ensure pets can always be reunited with their owners if they ever become lost. It’s a small step that makes a big difference for lifelong safety and peace of mind.

After his procedure, he enjoyed some well-deserved post-op cuddles with RVN Lauren — the perfect way to finish a big day at the practice 💕

Hovis popped in for his monthly injection to help manage his arthritis, administered by one of our nurses!

These regular treatments can make a big difference for dogs living with arthritis, helping to:
• Reduce joint pain and stiffness
• Improve mobility and comfort day-to-day
• Support a better quality of life, especially in older dogs
• Help them stay active and enjoy walks for longer

Hovis was his usual charming self and honestly… don’t you think he’s absolutely handsome? 😍

Zeus visited us recently for his castration procedure, and while he was with us, we also removed his hind dew claws!

Hind dew claws can sometimes become problematic because they’re not always firmly attached to the leg like other claws! This means they can:
• Catch on bedding, grass, or undergrowth and tear painfully
• Become injured during running or jumping
• Trap dirt and debris, increasing the risk of infection
• Be difficult to keep trimmed, especially in active dogs

Removing them (when appropriate) can help prevent future discomfort or injury, particularly in dogs who are very active outdoors.

Zeus was an absolute sweetheart throughout his visit and enjoyed plenty of cuddles with RVN Bec 💕
