Wilburfoss appreciation post!

Sometimes little horses with huge hearts grab all opportunities with all hoofs!

Wilberfoss shouldn’t be taking an 11 year old to pony club camp but he is!

A whole year for this little horse who last ran 11th June 2021 after running 18 times still being a maiden but for some reason the owners kept going with him as he always tired and ran his races

He was eventually rehomed him in Ireland.

He was found over a year ago by an Irish family in a tragic condition and he was given time and TLC and proved to give their nervous daughter her confidence back! Being a family friend and all rounder.

Finally the daughter was going off to university and he was offered to us for rehoming.

And a very shrewd and very crazy 🥝 lady bought him as I thought he would more suitable than the 14.2 17yo schoolmaster pony we had……. After my pitch to the Kiwi dragon I was tactically questioned at great length and Wilburfoss found his family all over again!

Three times lucky for him but it’s his temperament, heart and willingness in all he does means people just love him.

Is he willing - Yes
Is he safe - Yes
Does he try to please - Absolutely

He was a risk but worth it!

This charming and kind gelding would make an ideal family horse/ riding club/ all rounder. He only ran twice at 6 and been with a family since his racing time in Ireland. Fits well into a new routine being non needy and easy to manage. A very nice type with substance and stamp to match.

He does have a sarcoid on the inside of his thigh which is reflected.
