Today was a bittersweet day as Ada returned to Animal Rescue Volunteers. ❤️

After 10 days of intensive nursing, care and monitoring, we’re so pleased that both Ada and her kittens are now doing well enough to leave us and start the next chapter of their lives. 🐾

They can now settle into their foster homes, grow, become more active and build their confidence — something that felt a long way off after the traumatic birth they experienced.

This whole experience is such an important reminder of why neutering matters. 💔

Please, please neuter your pets. And if you know a friend, neighbour or someone struggling to afford it, consider helping them access neutering support where you can.

There are already far too many unwanted kittens facing illness, injury and trauma. Ada and her babies have been incredibly lucky to receive the care they needed — but prevention is always better. ❤️🐾

Please neuter. Please encourage others to neuter. And please help where you can. ❤️

Ada update 🐾❤️

Ada is doing absolutely amazing!

With lots of TLC, some gentle mummy massages to help stimulate her milk production, and a nice, calm and stress-free space for her to relax, her milk production has increased massively.

With the correct supplementation and a really good diet alongside this, she is now producing enough milk to feed all of her kittens completely by herself 🥰 The little ones are gaining weight consistently every single day, which is exactly what we want to see.

Ada is also doing a brilliant job of cleaning and caring for them, and she is recovering amazingly well herself.

After such a rough start, this beautiful little girl has really come through like an absolute champ. 🥹❤️ She’s been through so much, and seeing her now happily caring for her babies is just the loveliest thing.

Well done, Ada! 🐱🍼💕

Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to stay with one of my regulars, Lucy, while her mum was away for the weekend 🥰

I stayed with her overnight so I could keep a close eye on her diabetes, give her insulin as normal and, most importantly, make sure she was happy, relaxed and stress-free in her own home.

Overnight stays aren’t usually a service I offer, but because Lucy is a regular I know really well, and knowing how important it is for her to stay calm and settled with her diabetes, I was more than happy to help ❤️

As always, Lucy was an absolute angel! She loved having lots of fuss, plenty of food and, of course, pottering around the garden 🐾🌿

It was so lovely spending some extra time with her, and I think she was pretty happy having me there too! 🥰
