Last weekend, I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with the lovely Merlot while her owners tied the knot! 💍🐾

I was asked to chaperone Merlot for part of their wedding day so she could be included in their wedding photos, and what a little superstar she was. My job was simply to make sure she was happy, relaxed, and stress-free whilst waiting for her moment in front of the camera. We managed to get some absolutely beautiful photos, and I loved being able to help make sure she could be part of such a special day.

Once the wedding photos were done, it was back to being a dog! We spent the rest of the weekend enjoying plenty of walks, a bit of training, lots of playtime with other dogs, and more than a few cuddles on the sofa. ❤️

Being a wedding chaperone doesn’t always mean being there for the whole day. Sometimes it’s just helping out for a few hours so couples can have their dog included in the celebrations without having to ask family or guests to take on the responsibility. It’s such a lovely service to offer, and I always feel honoured to be trusted with such an important member of the family.

Merlot was an absolute joy from start to finish, and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend together. Thank you so much for trusting me with your beautiful girl on such a special occasion. 🐶✨

The perfect visit to finish off a busy weekend. 🐾

This handsome boy had a nail trim to keep him comfortable while enjoying his field runs and outdoor adventures.

I was also pleasantly greeted by him proudly carrying his emotional support egg, which definitely made my day! 🥚🐶💛

💖 Phoebe’s Big Win Today! 💖

Phoebe is a wonderful little pug who has found nail clips to be incredibly difficult. Visits to the vets and groomers for her nails have often been very stressful, resulting in lots of screaming and, at times, a few toileting accidents. Because of this, some of her nails had become very long and had started to curl around.

Today, however, Phoebe achieved something amazing! 🐾

With the support of her lovely mum, plenty of patience, and lots of tasty treats, Phoebe successfully had her nails clipped at home. There was a little bit of wiggling, but she recovered quickly and most importantly, there was no screaming and no toileting accidents.

As an added bonus, Phoebe also had her ears cleaned during the session! 👏

This was a hugely positive experience for Phoebe and a fantastic step forward in helping her feel more comfortable with handling. Best of all, it has saved her from needing a sedative at the vets to have her nails managed.

Well done, Phoebe! ❤️🐶

With warmer weather expected this Bank Holiday weekend, it’s important to remember that our pets can struggle in the heat just like we do ☀️🐾

A few simple steps can make a huge difference:
💧 Keep fresh water available at all times
🌳 Provide cool, shaded spaces to rest
🐶 Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening
🚗 Never leave pets in cars! even for a few minutes
🐾 Check pavements before walks to protect sensitive paws

Please also keep an eye out for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.

If you’re worried your pet may be suffering from heat stress, contact your vet as soon as possible.
