I had some fun and some good cuddles with the little man called Monty he really made my day and put a smile on my face☺️☺️☺️.
Monty is a beautiful 6 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel 🐾🐶🐾 who came to see us here for a post op check up after having surgery for a patella laxation on the right side.❤️❤️
I am happy to report that Monty is recovering very well and as you can see was given treats as well🤪
Monty and his owners left very happy☺️look after yourself see you soon 🐶

This beautiful little boy is called Waffle ☺️ he is a gorgeous 4 year old miniature poodle who came in to see us here at the corner vet for a post op check up 🥰after having a grass seed removed that was imbedded by the salivary gland 🐶🐶.
I’m happy to say that Waffle is back to his happy self and healing very well this is what we like to hear happy endings to a story.👏

I got a little snap happy 😃 today with this absolutely gorgeous 10 week old little man called Bilbo 🥰🥰.
Bilbo was the most adorable cavalier king Charles spaniel I have seen in such a long time I could not help but pick him up and give him lots of cuddles🤪🤪 and in return in the photos as you can see I got lots of licks back from him.

🐶🐾Bilbo absolutely melted my heart today was his first day actually seeing a vet and he came in to have a free puppy check just to make sure that there are no concerns worrying new happy pup mum.👏👏
🥰🥰 the vet gave a lovely healthcare check to Bilbo and we will see him back to start his vaccinations with us.❤️❤️❤️

Today I meet this beautiful French bulldog called Belle and she is 3 years old.🥰🫶
Gorgeous Belle came in to see the vet today to have her yearly L4 booster vaccination to help protect her from those nasty diseases like leptospirosis.
❤️❤️.
Belle was a very happy and excited little lady she really enjoyed the attention of the reception staff who gave Belle lots of belly rubs 🐶🐾🐶

🎆🐾 FIREWORKS SEASON IS COMING – IS YOUR PET PREPARED? 🐾🎆

Fireworks can be exciting for us, but for our pets, the loud bangs and flashing lights can be frightening and stressful. 😟

💚 The most important thing? PLAN AHEAD! Don't wait until Bonfire Night to think about what your pet might need. Some preparations and treatments take time, so getting organised early can make a real difference.

🐶🐱 Our top tips for keeping pets safe and calm:

🏡 Create a safe space – Set up a quiet, cosy room with familiar bedding, toys and somewhere to hide.

🎵 Reduce the noise – Close windows and curtains, and use the TV or music to help disguise the sound of fireworks.

🐕 Walk dogs before dark – Keep dogs on a lead, as even normally confident dogs can bolt if startled. Ensure their microchip details are up to date.

🐈 Keep cats indoors – Bring them inside before dark, secure cat flaps and windows, and provide litter trays, food, water and hiding places.

🐹 Don't forget small pets – Provide extra bedding and hiding places for rabbits and guinea pigs, and ensure outdoor enclosures are secure, sheltered and well ventilated.

❤️ Offer comfort – Stay calm and reassure your pet if they seek you out. Let them hide if they prefer, and never force them to face their fears.

🩺 Speak to your vet EARLY! If your pet struggles with fireworks, contact us well in advance. We can discuss options such as pheromone products, behavioural support or prescribed medication where appropriate. Never give human medication unless specifically directed by your vet.

🐾 Start preparing now! Gradual desensitisation to firework sounds may help some pets, but it needs to begin well ahead of fireworks season.

Hello all.☺️🐽😔
So for the last week I have been a bit concerned about my beloved little 3 year old American short haired guinea pig called Biscuit 🍪🍪
My beautiful biscuit has been urinating blood and yesterday I found a large patch of fur was missing around her back end which looked like mites😥🫶
Our vet Ioana kindly had a look at her and tested her urine 🥰 looks like she has a little infection however hoping that my biscuit gets better and the antibiotics do the trick 🫶🫶 or I will have to bring her in for more checks let’s hope her pain gets better soon.
🥰🥰I gave her a big feast when she got home and she was more settled and started eating. Fill better little one❤️

🐾 Would you know what to do if your pet had an accident? 🐾

From a cut paw to eating something they shouldn’t, knowing a few basic first-aid steps can make all the difference while you contact your vet. 🩺

Here are a few things every pet owner should have at home:

🩹 A basic pet first-aid kit – including gauze, bandages, sterile saline and a clean towel.

📞 Your vet’s number saved in your phone – and make sure you know where your nearest out-of-hours emergency clinic is.

🍫 Know what’s toxic – chocolate, grapes/raisins, xylitol and some medications can be dangerous. If you think your pet has eaten something they shouldn’t, contact your vet straight away.

🩸 Bleeding? Apply gentle, firm pressure with clean gauze or a towel and contact your vet for advice.

⚠️ Remember: first aid is not a substitute for veterinary treatment. If you’re worried about your pet, it’s always better to seek advice sooner rather than later.

🎓 Want to feel more prepared?
There are pet first-aid courses available specifically for owners, covering practical skills such as dealing with wounds, choking, bleeding, seizures and emergencies while waiting for veterinary help. They can be a great way to build confidence and learn what to do — and just as importantly, what not to do — in an emergency.
