The Stable Club Ponies Family run yard run by BHS qualified mum and daughter team.

Over 25yrs working together offering pony care clubs, part livery, retirement livery, adult horse care sessions and freelance coaching from our base at merrywood farm equestrian centre.

Cow pony by name and naughty cow pony by nature…. Cheeky dolly decided to climb through the hedge today and pay our neighbours a visit… They were so kind and caught her, keeping her safe til we could run over there , I think she enjoyed the attention!! “So what do you do when you don’t have clubs running?” Well we actually have a part livery yard with 9 horses to look after as well as the behind the scenes care of the ponies, but the thing that I have to remind myself to do is to stop, take a moment feel the gratitude and try to appreciate!! It can be a slightly thankless task, often working long hours with low financial gain and lots of worries and stress but just taking time to sit and soak it in can really make all the difference…. 🩷 have a think… what are you grateful of today?? …

Monday and Friday are drop and go…. So age 6+
Tuesday is a stay and play, the same as our Saturday sessions but longer so we can incorporate a woodland walk…. Age 3+ parents stay. 🎃🎃🎃

Finishing the day with a very full heart… the day began with a fantastic stay and play hour, so many smiles and love for the ponies, we washed up the feed buckets, made Haynet’s, met the guinea pigs, brushed the ponies, decorated the ponies and even done some mucking out… it was a full hour of pony fun… this was followed on by a 1-1 private session for a young lady who needed some additional support, we brushed Jimmy together, took him for a walk in the arena and fed the horses some apples… then a quick lunch before afternoon stable club began, we made Haynet’s, put straw on the beds, brushed the ponies, made them look beautiful before heading up the drive for a walk…. If anyone took pictures, please tag us… we appreciate any help to spread the stable club love ❤️
