Hi my name is Carrie and ive set up this go fund me page for my friends daughters poor little dog Alfie. Pls see her story below....
I’m posting this to make local dog walkers and parents aware of how devastating motorbike and e-bikes use can be.
Our 6-year-old Border Terrier little Alfie was hit by a motorbike being ridden by a boy who looked under 14 while out in Fulwell quarry. What should have been a normal walk has turned into nightmare.
Our dog now has serious spinal injuries and needs emergency spinal surgery. We’ve been told there is a chance he may never walk again.
We are heartbroken.
The financial cost is going to be around £10k and there is no guarantee he will ever be the same again.
Please, if you walk your dogs in Fulwell quarry, be extra careful and aware. And to parents: please know where your children are riding motorbikes / e-bikes and understand how dangerous this can be when they’re being used illegally around walkers, dogs and families.
A few seconds of reckless riding has caused catastrophic injuries and turned our world upside down.
No dog owner should have to watch their pet get smashed by a motorbike. My poor boy doesn’t know if he’ll see his dog again.

... people have suggested to set up a funding page to help save Alfie. So we have done this for the family.... In an ideal world the culprit should be made to pay, but as this is highly unlikely we thought we'd put this out there now to try to give Alfie the best chance of recovery if possible
