⚠️Sometimes, despite doing everything you possibly can, not every dog can continue to live happily within their own family pack.⚠️

This is one of those incredibly difficult situations.

Kili is looking for a new home due to ongoing incompatibility with one of his male siblings. They are the same breed, similar age, and despite every effort, living together is no longer in their best interests. He has no issues with the family’s other male dog, who is a different breed and age.

Kili is a lovely, sweet-natured boy who deserves a home where he can thrive.

About Kili:
• Male (neutered)
• 4 years old (DOB: 31/05/2022)
• Tri-colour Australian Shepherd
• Comes from working lines
• No known allergies
• Good with children
• Good with other dogs
• Walks beautifully on lead
• Has experience around horses, cattle, sheep and cats
• Currently in sheep herding training, where he is confident and enthusiastic. He continues to develop his skills and learn to work respectfully with his handler and livestock.

We are looking for:
• An active home that understands working breeds and their needs.
• An experienced owner who can continue his training and provide him with the exercise, enrichment and structure he enjoys.
• A committed family who can offer him the loving, lifelong home he deserves.

The girls are back with their original pack, and it always feels like coming home. ❤️

Silk is reunited with her mum and sister, while Shadow is back with Phoebe and Sky, who she has grown up alongside.

And then there’s Kenny… he has grown up with Silk and Sage, and Sage and Kenny are the very best of friends, as you can probably tell! Their bond is so special to watch, and seeing them together always makes me smile.

These friendships have been built over years of growing up together, learning together, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Dogs really do form incredible relationships, and it’s lovely to see them pick up exactly where they left off.

It’s a beautiful reminder that dogs can create lasting friendships just as we do. ❤️

Happy Bank Holiday everyone!

The girls are away with family this week, enjoying their own little holiday, plenty of adventures, and lots of fun with their doggy friends while I take a small break.

They absolutely love their time away, and it gives me peace of mind knowing they’re having just as much of a holiday as I am.

I’ll still be around if you need me, although replies may be a little slower than usual. I’ll also be sharing some of the girls’ adventures over the next few days.

⚠️Let’s talk teenagers…⚠️

Did you know that adolescence is one of the most common times for dogs to be surrendered to rescue?

Why?

Because it’s hard.

Your once eager-to-please puppy suddenly seems to have forgotten everything they’ve ever learned. Their listening becomes selective, their confidence changes, and they seem determined to test every ounce of your patience.

But here’s the thing…

Your dog isn’t giving you a hard time. They’re having a hard time.

Their body and brain are changing, just like a human teenager. They’re trying to make sense of the world while still needing your guidance, patience, and support.

So yes…

* It’s okay to go back to basics.
* It’s okay to use management and quick fixes to help you both through.
* It’s okay to take a moment, have a little shout (away from your dog!), and reset.
* It’s okay to walk away for a minute if it’s safe to do so.

There is absolutely no shame in finding adolescence challenging.

The puppy becomes a teenager.

The teenager becomes a balanced adult.

And that happens because of the time, consistency, patience, and understanding you invest in them.

Remember, you both need support.

So if you’re living with a teenage dog, share your moments—the funny ones, the frustrating ones, and the proud ones. Don’t struggle alone, and don’t be afraid to ask for the right help.

Happy moments like these remind me that even teenage dogs have the biggest hearts. ❤️

Sage may be a teenager, full of mischief and testing boundaries, but she absolutely adores her big sister, Silk.

Their bond is something really special. Through every game, cuddle and quiet moment, they’re always there for each other.

Love them both. 🐾❤️
