I’m starting a series of free live Zoom sessions tackling some of the biggest problems we have with our dachshunds, from barking and reactivity to recall, separation, settling and toilet training.

Each session will focus on a specific topic, with time to ask questions and talk through what’s happening with your own daxie.

Excellent idea and we incorporate this as confidence building in our training. Daxies are intelligent and sensitive, so sometimes you have to help them from a distance to build up their confidence.

Before I knew any of this stuff, I did that with Molly. I treated her like a toddler, explaining the world around her and not just assuming that she'd know or "get used to it". One year later, I have a confident dog that has great recall, will break while hunting/tracking, and will say hello to many dogs. She's still scared of a lot of things, but she's 5 inches from the ground, everything is bloody scary at that height!

Take your time with your dogs, explain the world to them, and they will grow in confidence.
