A full artic of winter warmth for horses & homes has just landed in Kinross 🚛

Clocks go back on Sunday 25 October. That means darker nights, more time in the stable, and your stove/fire lit every evening. We've stocked up on both so you don't have to hunt for either.

🐴 Strawmax Bedding Pellets (15kg)
Made from British straw that's dust-extracted, so it's a good fit for horses with sensitive breathing. Dampen the pellets and they fluff up into a deep, absorbent bed that holds moisture and smell well. It's quick to muck out and takes far less space to store than straw bales.

🔥 Hotmax Heat Logs (20kg)
Made from British softwood left over from making horse bedding. They're Ready to Burn certified with very low moisture, so they light fast and throw out serious heat. They're great for getting a fire going or bringing back a dying one.

✅ Strawmax: dampen the pellets before use, then top up rather than strip out
✅ Hotmax: start with two or three logs. They burn hotter than ordinary wood, so don't overload the stove
✅ Store both somewhere dry and off the floor
✅ Buy by the pallet before the weather turns. It's cheaper per bag and means fewer trips

The first cold morning of the back-end always catches somebody out. You know the one — mist on the fields, breath in the air, and you're rummaging in the pickup for a layer you forgot to pack. This is the fleece that lives in the cab for exactly that.

The Ridgeline Narvik is a 200gsm polyester half-zip fleece built as a proper working mid-layer. On its own it's enough for a cool morning; under a waterproof jacket it's your winter set-up sorted. Warm, lightweight, breathable and quick-drying, so it copes with sweat on the way up the hill and drizzle on the way down.
