Meet Coco belonging to our branch partner and veterinary surgeon Jeremy, Coco thought it would be best to tell her story herself for our last post for national pet month🐾
“Jeremy’s Cat… or Coco’s Human?
I’m Coco — five years old, fierce, and absolutely in charge 👑
I started life as a tiny stray, all ribs and fleas, until Jeremy scooped me up at just three weeks old. I’ll admit, I needed a bit of help back then… hand-fed like royalty until I graciously decided I could manage on my own. Honestly, it set the standard for how I expect to be treated.
Good thing I chose my human wisely. At six months, I broke my leg — dramatic, I know — and needed surgery. Lucky for me, Jeremy had my back. I healed, of course. I always do.
These days, I run a busy household with three children who adore me (as they should). I’m feisty, confident, and not afraid to remind everyone who’s in charge. Especially Claire (Jeremy’s wife) — I’ve trained her very well. One quick jump onto the kitchen table, a look… and voilà: food appears. Every time.
Yes, I’m greedy. Yes, I make demands. But I’ve earned it.
After all, I didn’t survive the streets, surgery, and kittenhood just to be ordinary. 🐾”
