Jasper is a gorgeous, loving boy with so much affection to give. He absolutely loves fuss, cuddles and being close to his humans, and heβs happiest when heβs involved in family life. He loves his walkies, is good with other dogs and has been brilliant around children. β€οΈ
Jasper has lived both as an only dog and, for the last few years, with another dog, so he could happily live with another suitable dog or potentially be the only dog in the home.
The main thing Jasper needs from his new home is human companionship. He does have separation anxiety and particularly struggles with being away from his people overnight. Having another dog around doesnβt necessarily reassure him, so his ideal home would be with someone who is happy for him to sleep close by β this could simply mean having his bed in the same room as you.
During the day, he would also be best suited to a home where someone is around for a good amount of the time, or where he wouldnβt routinely be left for long periods.
This is an incredibly difficult decision and absolutely no reflection on Jasper. Our current family set-up, particularly with a two-year-old, means we simply canβt give him the sleeping arrangements and level of closeness that he needs to feel settled.
He really is a loving, affectionate and wonderful companion, and in the right home, with someone who wants a little shadow to fuss, walk and have by their side, we genuinely think he will thrive. π₯°πΆ
We want to make sure Jasper goes to the right home, not just the first home, so finding someone whose lifestyle genuinely suits his needs is really important to us. β€οΈ
