So to get some of the ones that are ready for release out to learn how to do hoggy things like looking for food and making a nest i have brought these.
The grey one was used for a rabbit and was £30 of Facebook. The other one was new from a online site. We've put small holed wire bottom on them both and they will have plastic sheeting boards on top to keep things dry and a couple of houses to go in them.
First residents will be going in them later for a few days before release.

Well look at these cuties. I thought their was only one!. A boy at 70 grams and two girls both at 60 grams. A very quick cleen out. The nest box was yuck. Mum gloria had been doing her best turning the wet bed out to the top of the nest to keep the babies as clean as possible but all her poo was also in their. The smell of urine was very strong from outside of the hutch.
It smells alot better in their now. Lots of new bedding added on top of some of the driest bedding she had so everything still smelt of them.

Well its been just over a week since gloria had her babies and I would normally leave them alone for another week but omg it absolutely stinks of p*e in that hutch because she's not p*eing in the big food area she's toileting in the nest!🤢 so tomorrow she will be the first cage i do before I do any of the others.
Hopefully she will be okay with being disturbed, I will be as quick as I can.
I wonder how many little ones their are. I can hear squeaking daily so theirs definitely one.

Thanks to those of you that asked after my partner. We've just got back from hospital. Lots of pain meds and antibiotics to take and follow-up scans to be done later.

Afternoon everyone. I'm starting my spin the wheel raffle. To raise funds for the rescue. The 3 prizes are.
A pair of two diffent size thick fabric reusable bags which have a hedgehog design on both sides. With a lovely hedgehog themed lining.
A rucksack with a hedgehog logo on the front. It has a zip up front pocket and a press stud side pocket.
A small across body bag, with two zipped compartments inside and a front zipped pocket.
All prizes are new.
Postage available at the winners cost. Or collection from me.
Theirs no set amount of numbers. Numbers will be allocated from one upwards, depending on how many numbers are sold. Its £1 a number.

I finally remembered to buy a nasal aspirator to remove fly eggs and little maggots. It will be alot quicker than getting the big machine out and set up. I also brought some different size tweezers and after seeing a post on another rescues page about little rubber ducks helping young hogs that are teething. I brought some to.
I also need to thank Clint for £40 he donated to the rescue from a recent car boot he did.
Also thanks to Lisa Anne for a bag of items to sell to raise funds.
This weekend im going to start a spin the wheel raffle and make a post showing some of the hedgehog themed items I have for sale, things that would be on my stall. Ive just not had chance to look into how vinted works yet. I desperately need to get some funds in as in a weeks time two of the hogs will be in the vets having extra teeth removed that won't fall out and are making the hogs uncomfortable.
