Barney's Dog Boarding

Barney's Dog Boarding 5 Star Licenced and Fully Insured Dog Boarding from our family home in Bitterne Park Southampton

Our dog boarding and day care business is run from our dog friendly home in Bitterne Park, Southampton. We live very near to Riverside Park which has lot of open space for dogs to run and play and there is good access to the river if they want to swim or just have a paddle. We have a fully fenced garden and plenty of space if your dog wants some quite time. All dogs are treated as family and will

receive lots of love and attention. We do our best to keep to their usual routine whilst you are at work or away on holiday and we take into account their usual sleeping place whether that be in a crate, in their own bed, on our sofa or upstairs with us. We have a 7-year-old Chocolate Labrador X Springer Spaniel called Barney that we rescued from a local dog rescue charity when he was 3 years old. Since then, we have made many friends with lovely dogs and we now go on lovely pack walks at weekends in woodlands in and around Southampton. Barney’s Dog Boarding was created out of our love for dogs and they seem to love us too. We were very often asked to look after dogs for friends and people that we met on our walks so we decided to turn our love of dogs into a business. We have also just started to foster dogs for a local dog charity in the hope that we can help them prepare for their forever homes. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with any flea/worm treatment.
*We cannot accept un-neutered males unless under 6 months old*

🐾🌿 Rosie & Rafa Somerset Adventure 🌿🐾
After a very busy summer, we finally had a lovely little break away in the beautiful Somerset countryside, staying in a gorgeous stone cottage. 🏑🌳
We were so lucky with the weather, especially those first couple of days of glorious warm sunshine. β˜€οΈ
We had the pleasure of lovey Willow and her family join us for one night. Willow joined Rosie and Rafa for a lovely walk around the sheep πŸ‘ and some crazy swimming pool fun, where she decided that everyone needed saving, whether we actually needed rescuing or not! πŸ’¦πŸ™ˆπŸ€£
But Rosie had already managed to create our first Somerset adventure before we'd even properly unpacked the car! πŸ¦ŠπŸ’©
As we were unloading, Rosie found some particularly stinky fox poo and decided it would make the perfect perfume. 🀒🀣 Needless to say, she needed an emergency shower almost immediately after arriving at the cottage!
A very promising start to the holiday! πŸ˜‚
🫏 The cottage had two resident donkeys, Coco and Billy, who Rosie and Rafa got to meet. When Rafa first saw them, he wasn't quite sure what these enormous creatures were and gave them a good bark. Coco and Billy, however, were completely unimpressed and weren't bothered in the slightest! πŸ˜‚
Rafa soon got used to them, just like Rosie had when she first met them. Before long, whenever we went to give Coco and Billy a carrot, Rosie and Rafa would wander over, say a very polite hello... and then completely ignore them. 🫏πŸ₯•πŸΆ
Quite a transformation from Rafa's initial β€œWHAT ON EARTH ARE THOSE?!” 🀣

πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Rosie meets the pirates
We visited Wookey Hole, but unfortunately NO DOGS ALLOWED inside. 🐢🚫 Thankfully, we could still enjoy some of the surrounding outdoor attractions, including Pirate Island
Rosie spotted the pirates and decided they were obviously there to meet her. She jumped up onto a bench and sat next to one of them, waiting patiently for some attention. Sadly, the pirate completely ignored her. 🀣
Not one to give up easily, Rosie moved on to the next pirate and tried speaking to him instead, especially as he looked rather like her bald dad! πŸ˜‚ But even he ignored her!
Rosie was clearly very disappointed with the pirates' customer service. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ€£
πŸ§€ The cheese shop
Of course, you can't visit Cheddar Gorge without visiting the cheese shop! πŸ§€
Steve went inside to investigate the cheese situation while I stayed outside with Rosie and Rafa.
Rafa was not impressed at being left behind. He clearly believed that if there was cheese involved, he had every right to be part of the shopping experience! πŸ˜‚
He stood patiently outside with me and Rosie, watching the door very carefully as if waiting for Steve to emerge with the biggest piece of cheese in Somerset.
To his credit, he was incredibly well behaved and didn't attempt a cheese shop raid. 🀣
Although I'm fairly sure he thought Steve should have been bringing him out a sample as payment for his patience! πŸ§€πŸΆπŸ˜‚
🧭 The Ebbor Gorge expedition
What was supposed to be a nice little one-hour circular walk to a lookout point over Ebbor Gorge turned into quite possibly the biggest adventure of the holiday! πŸ™ˆπŸ€£
We set off intending to find the viewpoint, but somehow we just couldn't find it. Rather than admitting defeat, we ended up climbing down into the actual gorge... and suddenly our little walk became a proper expedition! πŸ₯ΎπŸŒ³
Rosie and Rafa absolutely loved it. They scrambled over the rocky paths, explored everything and seemed to think this unexpected rocky climb was brilliant fun.
We, on the other hand, were beginning to question our life choices! πŸ˜‚
Our planned one-hour circular walk somehow turned into a three-hour trek and rocky climb through the gorge. It was a fantastic adventure for all four of us, but by the time we finally got back, we were absolutely exhausted. πŸ₯±πŸ€£
Definitely not what we'd planned, but probably one of our favourite adventures of the holiday! ❀️
πŸ–οΈ We also had a couple of trips to the beach, where Rafa was very much in his element. Give that boy some sand and he'll happily roll around in it until he's covered from head to toe! πŸ˜‚
Despite all the adventures, Rosie and Rafa were incredibly well behaved whenever we stopped at a pub or cafΓ©. Rosie was so relaxed at one pub that she eventually decided she'd earned herself a little nap and promptly fell asleep on her back! πŸ˜΄πŸ˜‚
Then came The Great Squirrel Incident. 🐿️
While Rosie and Rafa were supposedly enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation at the cottage, a baby squirrel appeared at the patio door.
Their peaceful R&R came to an abrupt end as they both launched themselves towards it, resulting in two very enthusiastic dogs banging into the glass! 🀣🀣
Thankfully, no dogs or squirrels were harmed in the incident... although I'm not sure the patio door appreciated the experience! πŸ˜‚
And despite all the adventures, the lovely thing was watching Rosie and Rafa become such good friends during the holiday. They even decided that sharing our bed with us was perfectly acceptable. πŸ›οΈβ€οΈ
So really, this wasn't just a holiday of rest and relaxation...
It was R&R: Rosie & Rafa! πŸΎπŸ˜‚
And one of the best things was that, despite buying Rosie and Rafa their very own trackers before we went away, they weren't actually needed! πŸ“πŸ˜‚ They stayed safely with us throughout the whole adventure.
Although, after the fox poo, squirrel, pirates, donkeys, cheese shop, unexpected three-hour gorge expedition and Rafa's hill-rolling antics, I'm rather glad we had them just in case! 🀣
We had such a lovely few days filled with beautiful countryside, sunshine, beaches, walks, good food, new friends, unexpected adventures and plenty of laughs.
A proper Somerset adventure for Rosie and Rafa, with a little Willow thrown in for good measure. ❀️🐾

🌿🐾 And breathe… we’re officially on holiday! 🐾🌿
β˜€οΈ After a very long hot and very busy summer of boarding lots of wonderful dogs, we have now officially finished for a little while and it’s time for some much-needed rest, relaxation and doing absolutely nothing productive! πŸ˜‚πŸ·
🏑 We’re taking a little break away in the countryside with Rosie, and this time she’s bringing her friend Rafa along for the adventure. 🐢❀️
🐾 Today’s walk through the woods was the perfect chance to start winding down before we set off. Rosie and Rafa were both super chilled for most of the walk, enjoying the peace and taking their time sniffing their way through the woods. πŸŒ³πŸƒ
πŸ•³ Rafa even found himself a lovely little patch for a spot of digging. He buried his nose right into the ground and got very busy investigating, so I can only assume he was searching for truffles! πŸ˜‚πŸ„πŸ½
πŸ’¦ They were both perfectly relaxed until we reached the lovely little stream hidden in the middle of the woods…
🌹 Rosie suddenly came to life and went a little crazy splashing about in the water! πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦ Being a spaniel, she clearly felt it was her duty to make the most of it. Rafa had a little paddle too before enjoying a leisurely sniff along the riverbank.
🌳 After wandering back through the woods, we stopped at the nature reserve for a little game of ball πŸ€
🟑 Rafa had his lovely yellow ball, which Rosie decided she liked very much and proceeded to keep stealing! πŸ˜‚ Thankfully, Rafa wasn’t bothered in the slightest. He simply waited patiently while Rosie chased after her own ball, then quickly went off to retrieve his when the opportunity presented itself. A very sensible boy who knows that patience pays off! πŸ’›πŸΎ
And now… holiday mode officially begins! 🌿🏑🍷
β˜€οΈ After such a busy summer, we’re very much looking forward to some peaceful countryside walks, plenty of relaxing and a little bit of doing absolutely nothing! 🍷🍹

🌧️🐾 The rain has arrived… and so did the Zoomies! 🐾🌧️
Gorgeous boy Rafa has joined us for another holiday, and this time he’ll be coming away on our holiday too! πŸ₯° We’re so looking forward to our adventures with Rosie and Rafa 🐾
🧸 Today was also Teddy’s final walk of his holiday, and what better way to finish than with a proper dose of rain! 🌧️🀣 Teddy doesn’t usually like the rain, but after weeks of hot weather he clearly decided it was time to embrace it. He was absolutely ecstatic, racing around the field with Rosie and giving himself a serious case of the zoomies!
πŸ’¦ Then he found a puddle… and there was absolutely no resisting it. 🀣 He had to have a good old roll around in it, because apparently being wet from the rain simply wasn’t enough!
πŸ€ͺ Blue and Willow joined us too, and those two crazy Collies soon joined Teddy and Rosie, chasing each other around the field. Although Willow doesn’t actually chase anyone… she just runs and everyone else follows! 🀣 She’s basically the leader of the chaos without even trying!
☺️ Lovely Rafa wasn’t too sure about the rain at first, but he soon caught the Zoomie Bug too. It was definitely in the air today, and I’m blaming the rain! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ§οΈ
🌳 After their fun in the fields, we headed into the woods for a lovely walk. And amongst all the craziness, it was impossible not to notice just how beautiful nature is. πŸ’š The rain has magically transformed the woods overnight, turning everything into the most gorgeous shades of green, with plants and foliage suddenly flourishing everywhere. It really was beautiful. πŸŒ±πŸŒ³πŸŒΏπŸ’š
πŸ’¦ By this point it was absolutely pouring down, but we didn’t care because this is exactly what we’ve been waiting for! πŸ™ŒπŸŒ§οΈ
πŸ©³πŸ‘• However I’m not sure shorts and T-shirt were quite the correct attire for a soaking wet woodland walk, but it was still too warm for anything else… and who needs a coat anyway? 🀣
πŸͺ΅ When we reached the end of the woods, we popped into another field for some ball playtime and decided to fully embrace the rain. We were already soaked, so we might as well enjoy it! πŸ˜‚
🟑 Rafa had his new yellow ball, which he absolutely loved chasing, while we distracted the rest of the crazy crew with their favourite Webbox balls.
πŸ€ Blue, however, kept losing his ball to Teddy and Rosie, the little ball thieves! 🀣 They seemed to think his ball was much more exciting than their own. Poor Blue still managed to have some fun when the two thieves weren’t looking though! πŸ˜‚
🌧 A very wet, very wild and very happy final walk for Teddy! Its been fun having Ted stay, hes been such a good boy (mostly πŸ™ˆπŸ€£)❀️
😊 Rafa has definitely started his holiday with the right crowd… the Zoomie Crew! 🀣

🌈🐾 A Very Special Rainbow Bridge Walk 🐾🌈
Lovely boy Coco has come to stay for a little trial sleepover with Rosie and Teddy, to see if he enjoys his time with us and fancies coming back for a holiday later this year. And judging by today’s adventures, I think he’s settling in rather nicely! πŸ₯°
❀️ Gorgeous boys Blue and Ralphy joined us for today’s countryside walk, which was a very special one for me. It was my Rainbow Bridge walk, just me and five wonderful dogs, taking a little time to remember Barney and all the very special dogs who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾
🌳 The woods were incredibly peaceful today. I didn’t see a single soul while out walking, which made it feel even more special. Just the quiet of the woods, five happy dogs exploring and plenty of time to think about all the wonderful memories left behind πŸ™
🀎 Coco absolutely loved running through the fields and was particularly pleased when he and πŸ’› Teddy each found a stick. Of course, once they had their treasures they proudly pranced around showing everyone how lucky they were! πŸ˜‚πŸŒΏ
🧑 Ralphy, meanwhile, was doing what Ralphy does best, happily charging around and making the most of every inch of countryside. He had plenty of exploring to do and seemed determined that no interesting smell, patch of grass or exciting adventure should be missed! πŸΎπŸ˜‚
πŸ’™ Blue was never far from my side. He followed my every step, almost as though he was walking along my path with me. It felt especially poignant having him there, remembering his best buddy Barney and all the adventures they shared together. 🌈
🌹 Rosie was the perfect little host, showing Coco exactly how things are done. She happily led the way around the route, stopping every few minutes to pose beautifully for a photo… because obviously every photo opportunity deserves a treat! πŸ“ΈπŸ˜‚πŸΆ
πŸ•ŠToday was one of those walks that felt very simple, very peaceful and somehow very special. Just me, five wonderful dogs and a whole lot of memories of the ones who are no longer here but will never be forgotten. ❀️
πŸ™ Always loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten. 🌈🐾

🐾 One Last Adventure for Foxy Milo! 🧑
Today we had George come along for some fun, while Doodle Milo joined us just for the walk. And for Foxy Milo, it was his final walk of his holiday with Teddy and Rosie. 🐾
🌿 We started with some serious ball play on the green before heading into the woods for a lovely, sniffy adventure, followed by… you guessed it… MORE ball play at the end. Because apparently one ball session is never enough! πŸ˜‚πŸŽΎ
πŸ€ The two Milos were very happy because they each had their own squeaky Webbox ball. They were perfectly content squeaking away with their prized possessions.
🏐 Meanwhile, Teddy and Rosie had other ideas. Their attention was firmly fixed on Georgie's tennis ball, and they raced around trying to get their paws on it, much his growing annoyance! πŸ˜‚
🀫 We eventually managed to distract Teddy and Rosie long enough for George to make his move and run off to retrieve his ball whilst nobody was looking. A successful covert operation… although I suspect Georgie will be keeping a much closer eye on his tennis ball next time! πŸŽΎπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‚ And just when we thought Georgie had survived the walk without getting himself into too much trouble… he found the dirt!
πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Naturally, he couldn't possibly walk past it without having a good old roll. Because why come home looking reasonably clean when you can arrive looking like you've been excavating the woodland floor? πŸ˜‚
🧸🦊 Best friends Teddy and Foxy Milo went off exploring together for one last adventure, making the absolute most of their walk before Milo headed home. Ted is definitely going to miss his foxy friend. ❀️🌹 And then there was pretty little Rosie, proudly showing off her fabulous new groom. ✨ After managing to get herself thoroughly mucky at the shore last night, she had a bath and was back to looking gorgeous again this morning. Somehow she even managed to keep her lovely new look surprisingly clean today… which, for Rosie, is quite the achievement! πŸ˜‚
🧑 As for Foxy Milo, we really are going to miss him. He has been an absolute pleasure to have stay and has fitted into our little gang so perfectly. He's been such a lovely boy, made some great memories with his friends and has certainly enjoyed his holiday.
πŸ™ˆ Although… there is just one tiny thing we won't miss quite so much. πŸ‘€
Foxy Milo is actually a secret treat stealer! 🀫πŸͺ Somehow those treats have a mysterious habit of disappearing whenever his little face is nearby. We may never know exactly what happened to them… but we have our suspicions! πŸ˜‚
🀣 So today's walk had everything: squeaky balls, tennis-ball drama, woodland exploring, naughty dirt rolls, secret treat theft, best-friend adventures and one very pretty, freshly groomed Rosie trying her absolute best not to ruin her new look. πŸ˜‚πŸŒ³πŸŽΎπŸΆ
🧑 Thank you for being such a pleasure, Foxy Milo. We'll miss you, you little treat thief! 🐾

🐾 A New Woodland Adventure! 🐾
🌳 Today we had a lovely change of scenery as Milo Doodle and cute little Ralphy joined Rosie, Teddy and Foxy Milo for a wander through some brand-new woods. πŸͺ΅
🐾 There’s something rather exciting about exploring somewhere none of them have been before. Every path had a new smell to investigate, every tree needed a thorough sniff, and naturally, five dogs exploring in five different directions was always going to be entertaining! πŸ˜‚
πŸ’¦ Then, just when we thought the woods couldn’t get any better, they discovered a beautiful little stream running through it.
πŸ§‘πŸ’› Best friends Foxy Milo and Teddy wasted absolutely no time making the most of the water fun. They were in their element, enjoying every splash and making sure nobody else had all the fun! πŸΆπŸ’¦
πŸ»β€β„ Milo Doodle was happy having a paddle, while Ralphy ran around like it was his birthday, especially when he spotted his friend Willow. His excitement level went up another few notches! πŸ˜‚πŸΎ
🌹Rosie, being a spaniel is naturally attracted to water and she wasnt going to pass up the opportunity. She loved every minute of it, particularly because she was surrounded by her friends. ❀️
🌳 A beautiful new woodland, new smells, a lovely stream and a very happy group of dogs. Not a bad way to spend the morning at all! πŸŒ²πŸΎπŸ’¦

🌾Today’s countryside walk brought together the full Labrador colour set…
🧑 Fox Red Milo, πŸ’› Golden Teddy, πŸ–€ Black Mace and 🀎 Chocolate Berkeley, 🌹 and right in the middle of it all was Rosie, our very lucky little princess with four handsome princes looking out for her. πŸ‘‘πŸΎ
🌹 Not that Rosie actually needs looking after! She’s a very adventurous little girl who takes everything in her stride and is always more than happy to join in with whatever adventure comes her way. But she certainly seemed quite happy with her royal entourage today! πŸ˜‚β€οΈ
πŸ–€ Lovely boy Mace is a bit of a unit! πŸ˜‚ He’s a big, solid boy with such a lovely character and, honestly, he should probably have been called Sherman πŸͺ– 🀣 He’s such a happy, affectionate lad and was particularly keen to spend some time playing with lovely Ted today.
🀎 The only problem is that Mace and Berkeley seem to have completely forgotten that they are both rather large Labradors and have absolutely no idea how much Labrador they are bringing to the party! πŸ˜‚ When those two get involved, there is a lot of dog, very little spatial awareness and absolutely no shortage of enthusiasm! 🀣
πŸ’› Mace wanted to play with Ted, while Berkeley was more than happy to turn things into a full-on bundle involving both of them. Ted, however, wasn’t entirely convinced this was the sophisticated gentlemanly playtime he had signed up for!
🧑 Milo, the eldest of the boys, has clearly learned that sometimes the wisest thing to do is simply stand back and let the younger ones get on with it. He kept a sensible distance from the rough and tumble, watching the chaos unfold with the calm wisdom of the eldest boy in the group. Although I suspect he was secretly rather amused by it all! πŸ˜€
🌳 They all had an amazing time charging through the fields before things became considerably more peaceful as we entered the woods. The boys’ noses were in top detective mode today, taking everyone off the path to investigate all manner of woodland mysteries. Down holes, under branches and into every little area that looked remotely interesting. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒ³πŸΎ
🌹 Rosie was more than happy to follow the boys, particularly her house guests Milo and Teddy, who she has become very fond of. She happily followed their lead, investigating all the places their noses took them and taking every twist and turn of the adventure completely in her stride. ❀️
🌿 We eventually came out the other side of the woods into the next field and found a lovely shady spot for a much-needed drink and some ball play.
πŸ€ͺ And that’s when the volume k**b suddenly went from peaceful woodland stroll to absolute Labrador mayhem. πŸ˜‚πŸ’¨
🀎 Berkeley had a perfectly good ball all to himself… but naturally, that didn’t stop him wanting Teddy’s ball too. Because apparently one ball is never enough when somebody else has another one. 🀣
πŸ’› Ted is such a kind boy that he simply let Berkeley have his. He really is incredibly wise for the youngest of the boys πŸ™
🧑 Meanwhile, Milo continued his role as the eldest statesman of the group, keeping a close eye on the youngsters and supervising proceedings from a safe distance. Someone has to keep an eye on the hooligans! πŸ˜‚
πŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ€Ž
What a fantastic day they all had. Four boys, one adventurous little princess, miles of countryside, woodland adventures, muddy noses, balls and plenty of chaos. Pretty much the perfect dog walk. 🐾🌹
πŸ“· And yes… I took a huge number of photos today. And by huge, I mean even more than my usual huge amount. πŸ™ˆπŸ€£
😁 I make absolutely no apology for uploading lots of them because there were far too many lovely moments to choose from! πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ
❓️Let me know which ones are your favourites, though, because that will help me decide which types of shots I should take more of in future. πŸ˜ƒβ€οΈπŸΎ

πŸ’¦ Teddy, Milo and Rosie had an absolute blast at the river today! The moment we arrived at the park, they knew exactly what was coming: ball play, followed by river chaos!
🌊 Teddy and Milo are proper water babies. The second they spotted the river, there was absolutely no stopping them. Swimming, splashing, zooming through the water... getting wet was very much on today's agenda!
🐾 Rosie, meanwhile, has developed her own unique approach to swimming. She LOVES the water, but despite being equipped with perfectly good webbed paws, she still hasn't quite worked out what they're actually for! πŸ˜‚
😁 Instead of swimming, Rosie prefers the more refined technique of chest dipping. Paws firmly planted on the river bed, chest submerged, looking very pleased with herself while her two Labrador friends swim off into the distance. 🐢🌊
🦺 Perhaps one day we'll get her a little life jacket and she can join the boys properly. Although knowing Rosie, she'll probably wear it while continuing to stand up. πŸ˜‚
πŸ€ Milo had a fantastic time playing fetch, although there was one tiny problem... he seemed to have completely misunderstood the rules. Apparently, in Milo's world, ALL balls are his balls. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸŽΎ
πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί He happily retrieved anything that was thrown, much to the absolute annoyance of the other dogs trying to enjoy their own games. Milo wasn't being greedy, of course. He was simply providing a very enthusiastic community ball retrieval service. πŸ˜‚
🐻 Teddy was equally happy running and splashing around with Rosie near the water's edge, but he also loved heading out into the river with Milo. That was until he discovered that Milo has apparently been fitted with a turbo-powered swimming setting! πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨
🚀 So while Milo disappeared into the river at Labrador speed, Teddy sensibly decided that keeping up wasn't necessary and came back to join Rosie in the shallows. Rosie, naturally, was still chest-deep and going absolutely nowhere. πŸ˜‚
πŸ’¦ After all that swimming and paddling, the three of them headed onto the grass for more running, ball chasing and general nonsense, giving themselves a chance to dry off a little before getting back in the car.
πŸ˜ƒ Three very happy dogs, two Labrador water rockets and one web-footed Rosie who still hasn't read the instruction manual.
πŸ’€ Needless to say, they were all very ready for a well-earned rest when we got home ❀️

23/08/2026

πŸ’¦ What a fabulous time we had at the river today with Labrador boys Milo, Teddy and Berkeley, plus our two lovely Rosie’s! They absolutely had a ball, running, splashing and generally behaving as though they’d been hired to entertain the entire riverbank. πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦
🌳 We started our walk at the conservation area, surrounded by the most beautiful trees. We sensibly avoided the stinky pond 🀒 before heading down the fern-lined paths.
🐁 Rosie Sproodle then discovered a very cute little mole… sadly, this particular mole was very much asleep and definitely wasn’t joining us for the walk πŸ™ˆ Naturally, we couldn't just leave the poor little chap there, so we gave him a proper woodland burial. πŸͺ΅ We buried him at the base of a tree and carefully covered him with leaves, while the dogs watched on, presumably wondering why their walk had suddenly turned into a funeral service ⚰️
Then came the Labrador Wrestling Championships! 🀣 Teddy and Berkeley picked up exactly where they left off yesterday, launching straight into another full-on wrestling bundle. Teddy finally got his own back and bundled Berkeley over, but Berkeley clearly took this as an invitation to continue the fight. One roll, one tumble and straight back in! Apparently, the rematch was compulsory. πŸ˜‚
πŸ’¦ And then we reached the river… and Milo, Teddy and Berkeley completely lost the plot! 🀣 The three Labrador boys launched themselves into the water, charging, splashing and barging about like they were auditioning for the Labrador Olympics. There was absolutely no graceful swimming involved, just three very happy boys splashing, charging about and sending water in every possible direction! 🀣
πŸ€ Rosie Sproodle, meanwhile, had found herself a lovely ball and immediately went into full-on ball security mode, hiding it away where the others couldn't get their paws on it. πŸ˜‚ She clearly knew exactly what she was doing and wasn't about to share her prized possession with three enormous Labradors! Thankfully for her, they were far too busy splashing about in the river to notice her secret stash. 🐢⚽🀣
πŸ’ͺ And then there was our Rosie, who once again proved that being the smallest of the gang certainly doesn't mean she intends to sit on the sidelines! Our fearless girl charged through the river alongside the three big Labrador boys, determined to compete for the prized stick. πŸͺ΅πŸ€£ She may have been outnumbered and considerably smaller, but Rosie clearly hadn't noticed.
🌳 So today's walk consisted of a woodland funeral, wrestling, river racing, stick battles, a very securely guarded ball, and five very happy dogs having an absolute blast together. ❀️🐾
