I took this photo wearing a winter coat in the heat and honestly…
I was melting and that’s putting it politely! 🥵

Now imagine how your dog feels wearing a fur coat they can’t take off.

If you wouldn’t go out in this weather wearing a coat, your dog probably doesn’t want to either.

Dogs can overheat very quickly, especially on:
- Hot pavements
- Humid days
- Long walks in direct sun
- Midday temperatures

Remember:
✔️ Walk early morning or late evening
✔️ Always bring water
✔️ Check pavements with the back of your hand
✔️ Look for signs of overheating (heavy panting, drooling, slowing)

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is skip the walk and keep them cool at home & safe! 🐕❄️

Tuckers First day at Doggy Training yesterday and what a show he put on! He dealt with many challenges yesterday and we took the day as it came. As you can see he pulls like a freight train to begin with! After some heel work with my trusty cones he was walking like a Champion!

We got approached by a couple dogs today, knowing tuckers background I was highly hesitant at first but you have to learn from your mistakes! And that’s exactly what Tucker did. Pressure makes Diamonds!

Every correction and positive reinforcement created a new neurological pathway in Tuckers mind. And the proof is in the pudding as after those corrections he was socialising like a boss!

His eye contact and whole energy changed after the first 30 minutes and now he can be out enjoying his walks. I’m super proud of this little man and cannot wait to see him again next week 🤩💚🐕

What a Lovely Wednesday! It doesn’t get much better than this let me tell you.

We had a great first Discovery Session with the mighty Loki! I’m such a spanner I forgot to take a photo 😅 we then had 2 Amazing Training Sessions!! Followed by a Puppy training course and let me tell you this is why I quit my Job to work with dogs!

First we had Tucker, a 3 year old lovely little Black & White Jack Russell. He unfortunately has been let down and abused in his past. He’s got such beautiful characteristics but his reactivity is letting him down all stemming from his childhood. But listen after his first session today I can tell this boy is going to have a much calmer, enjoyable & healthy life. He just needed someone to show him how to socialise like a good boy! After his first ever session, he’s not pulling, no reactivity and off lead walking… the proof is in the pudding and all of that was done with just clear communication and some positive reassurance. I cannot wait to post his training videos tomorrow 😬

Then we had Paddy! A 5 year old Jack Russell with a truly beautiful Brindle and White coat. Paddy is a massive puller, so much that I asked his owner how big their biceps are 💪🏼 after 4 minutes of lead training he was by my side heeling to perfection. No E-Collar, no abusive techniques, just pure love and reassurance with a side of chicken. This boy was tested today and pressure makes Diamonds. His reactivity was so bad, lunging, barking just nuts around other dogs but after 1 session he’s completely changed and playing with other dogs for the first time in a long time. Watch the footage tomorrow and see for yourself! I’m proud of this pup today 🤩

Today’s Session with the Gorgeous Mabel and Barney! We reached new heights this week in both their development. Mabel after only 2 sessions is now becoming such a good girl, she’s not been off lead in years and look at her now 2 sessions in! Her recall in the last hour has come on so much that I knew she was ready for that freedom and look at her tail go!

She’s showing Older Brother Barney what he’s missing out on and I’m sure by the next session he will be ready to taste the freedom too! All we need is a new slip lead for Barney and to reinforce his lead manners but he’s so close!! Little Sister Mabel’s showing you up buddy but we got you 😂🐕💚

Lovely Stuff on a Wet Soggy Day but these pups bring the Vibes 😎💚🐕

Impulse control is so important and rewarding in several different ways for dogs.

Having this level of control and respect in a relationship can genuinely save your dogs life.

I can help any dog learn how to be a dog by simply communicating clearly and effectively. I would never put any dog purposely in danger unless I fully trust and have that respect. You too can gain this skill!

Morty, my second Dog and where to start. You’ve probably seen him in most of my training videos already! A Miniature Dachshund and only 6 months old weighing 3.6kg! An absolutely gorgeous personality who loves and cares so deeply it’s crazy!! Such an affectionate puppy that just wants to be involved in anything we do!

Me and my Partner decided on the name Morty as he is named after one of our favourite tv shows Rick & Morty. Morty is the main sidekick in the show and that’s exactly what my Little Man is to us, our perfect sidekick! Sunday Sofa days are complete when Morty is rapped around my neck for cuddles 😁😍

Ever since we’ve had Morty I’ve put so much hard work and dedication into training and socialising this puppy to create a Safe, Healthy life together. He has never consumed any manufactured Kibble, Tinned Dog Food, Treats etc. basically anything you find in a pet store BUT natural animal derived products! I batch cook all his meals once a month and know every ingredient, nutrient and supplement this dog needs. He is so healthy and honestly I’d say the best fed dog in Sheffield at least! Sounds weird but me and my partner think his food smells unbelievable, it’s exactly what we should be eating in different proportions though! Maybe one day I’ll give it a taste 😅
