Well it’s been lovely, it’s been rainy, then lovely again. Never sure whether I need a coat but really, I can’t complain, it’s all good compared to November. Love watching these two go. The black one is faster, but older, so gets caught up with eventually, this tends to last about 5 minutes, then they stop, and just walk again. Dogs can be mad!

I don’t often get my phone out whilst I’m on a walk with dogs, the only two reasons being

1) check the tracker for a free spirit who has gone out of sight (the only free spirit I walk has now learnt to do 30 second check-ins since I am quite liberal with the ‘treat for coming back’)

2) take a photo of a dog or dogs who will stand/sit still long enough! Since it’s been bluebell time I’ve tried to get a few recently. The photos never do the bluebells justice but the dogs are of course wonderful.

So it’s been spectacularly wet, and I have to admit I’m very seriously hoping for a bit of a respite from the deluge! On my most common routes there are streams where there used to be paths, and despite having a porta shower in the boot of my car, the younger dogs (some of which seem to enjoy skidding into the bogs all around when chasing things) are almost impossible to get clean. Here is a little taster of the fact, that when it comes to going for a walk (gardens is different), dogs don’t care about the rain!

Having landed flat on my back twice last week (actually, once on my rucksack, thank you rucksack). I fully expected the ice to be completely gone by today, and yet some still lingers. Be careful out there folks!
