😍 Basil 😍

Basil had cruciate surgery at the back end of last year💔 fast forward a few months and he is doing amazing! The hard work Basil’s owners have put in at home combined with his consistent hydrotherapy session, he is doing incredibly well and pretty much back to his usual self💪🏼 keep up the good work Basil💙

Recovering from cruciate ligament surgery can be challenging for dogs, but underwater treadmill therapy provides a safe and controlled way to support rehabilitation and recovery. 💙

At our registered canine hydrotherapy centre, underwater treadmill sessions are tailored to each dog’s individual recovery plan, helping rebuild strength and improve mobility at a pace that suits them.

Benefits of underwater treadmill rehabilitation may include:
✔️ Controlled weight-bearing exercise
✔️ Improved muscle strength and stability
✔️ Increased joint mobility and flexibility
✔️ Reduced impact on healing joints
✔️ Improved walking pattern and gait
✔️ Supporting confidence in movement

The water level and treadmill speed can be carefully adjusted to provide gentle resistance and support throughout the recovery process, allowing dogs to exercise comfortably while reducing strain on their joints.

Every rehabilitation programme is adapted to your dog’s needs, stage of healing, and veterinary guidance to help support the best possible recovery. 🐶💦

If your dog is recovering from cruciate ligament surgery and you’d like to learn more about underwater treadmill rehabilitation, feel free to get in touch🐶

What a handsome man😍😍

Chip comes to us fortnightly to help manage his hip dysplasia👎🏼

Hip dysplasia can make everyday movement difficult and uncomfortable for dogs, but hydrotherapy offers a gentle, low-impact way to help them stay active and improve mobility. 💙

Our hydrotherapy sessions are specifically tailored to support dogs with hip dysplasia, focusing on:
✔️ Building muscle strength to support the hips
✔️ Improving joint mobility and flexibility
✔️ Reducing pressure on painful joints
✔️ Supporting weight management
✔️ Increasing confidence in movement
✔️ Helping maintain a better quality of life

The buoyancy of the water allows dogs to exercise safely and comfortably without the strain that land-based exercise can place on their joints.

Every dog is different, which is why each programme is adapted to their individual needs, ability, and comfort level.

Helping dogs move more comfortably and enjoy life again is what hydrotherapy is all about. 🐶💦

If you’d like to learn more about how hydrotherapy may help your dog with hip dysplasia, feel free to get in touch.

🐾Osteoarthritis 🐾

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common conditions we see in dogs, especially as they get older. Stiffness, slowing down on walks, difficulty getting up, and reduced mobility can all have a big impact on their quality of life. 💙

Canine hydrotherapy can be a fantastic way to help manage osteoarthritis by providing gentle, low-impact exercise in a supportive environment. The buoyancy of the water reduces pressure on painful joints while allowing dogs to move more comfortably and confidently. 🏊🐕

Hydrotherapy may help:
✨ Improve mobility and flexibility
✨ Build and maintain muscle strength
✨ Reduce stiffness
✨ Support weight management
✨ Increase comfort and overall wellbeing

Most importantly, many dogs simply feel happier and more comfortable after their sessions — and seeing them move more freely again is incredibly rewarding. 🐶💦

Every dog is different, which is why each hydrotherapy programme is tailored to their individual needs and abilities.

If you think hydrotherapy could help your dog with osteoarthritis, feel free to get in touch to find out more. 🐾💙

🐾 Hydrotherapy Pool vs Underwater Treadmill – what’s the difference? 💦

A question we get asked a lot is: “Which is better – the pool or the underwater treadmill?” The answer is… it depends on your dog’s individual needs! 🐶

🏊 Hydrotherapy Pool
Perfect for:
✔ Building overall strength and fitness
✔ Improving confidence in movement
✔ Encouraging natural swimming motion
✔ Dogs who benefit from full body conditioning

🐕‍🦺 Underwater Treadmill
Perfect for:
✔ Controlled, targeted rehabilitation
✔ Post-operative recovery
✔ Gait retraining and improving walking patterns
✔ Dogs needing more support and precision during exercise

✨ The best part? Sometimes we use both! A tailored combination can provide the best possible outcome for your dog’s rehabilitation and wellbeing.

Every dog is unique, which is why every hydrotherapy plan should be too. 💙🐾
