This little Pomeranian is one of the warmest and friendliest dogs I have the pleasure of walking. With bags and bags of personality and always happy to be out exploring, he thrives on his walks. When we are out he is always following an interesting scent, enjoying a gentle trot alongside me or simply taking in the world around him, every outing is an adventure and every time we head out the door he is so very excited .

Despite his playful energy, he has a beautifully calm and loving nature. He's affectionate, gentle, and a joy to spend time with. It's always a pleasure to be part of his daily adventures.

Things are getting busy but I still have a couple of lunch and mid morning slots available so feel free to drop me a message about a range of dog walks!

That’s another walk of dog walks done and I’m glad to give my feet a rest for the weekend ! Been great being out and about at different times and in different places with dogs this week!

Met the coolest dog called Steve at Skipwith Common who is a rescue dog ! Steve has 3 legs after having to have his front left leg surgically removed after he got an infection and was cruelly abandoned. Luckily he has a great new family who give him all the time and love he deserves. The light in his eyes while he enjoyed the simple things around him really warmed me and reminded me why I walk dogs for a living !!

It’s still pretty warm out there but thankfully a lot cooler than last week . The summer heat can be rough on dog walkers when it’s too hot to walk a dog in the middle of a day . This week I will be out walking clients dogs early in the morning and then my midday appointments will typically be home visits in the shade with plenty of belly rubs , toilet breaks and playtime . The rest of the time will be spent helping Bailey settle into pack life …. He seems pretty comfortable already !!!

One of my lovely regulars, who I normally walk twice a day, has swapped today's midday walk for a chilled pop-in instead. On warmer days this is something we always do . Today we spent 30 minutes over lunch hanging in the garden shade , had lots of fuss, topped up the bowl with ice cold water and kept nice and cool all round.

Tomorrow assuming it’s still hot like this we will go for his morning walk nice and early before it gets too hot and then his lunch one will be the same as today !

Whether it's a hot day or you know you're going to be out a little longer, pop-in visits are a great way to make sure your dog is comfortable, cared for, and has routine

It's been a incredibly busy 48 hours with dog walks for wonderful clients around town, while also helping Bailey, the newest addition to the pack, settle into his new life.

Bailey is a rescue dog from Cyprus, and after such an incredibly tough start to life, he comes with a bucket load of nerves and anxiety. His first couple of days have been all about taking things at his own pace, slowly starting to come out of his shell. He's found a safe space that he loves, and although he's still very cautious, you can already see the hidden excitement and affectionate nature waiting to shine through.

The last couple of days have been spent exploring local parks and enjoying gentle walks, while also helping him adjust to life at home. He's been a little off his food, which is completely understandable given the stress and anxiety of such a huge change but have found cooked roasted chicken , sausage and rice mixed with his usual biscuits is beginning to work . Out on walks, though, he's been fantastic he is super chill with other dogs, but very wary of people he doesn't know yet.

Then, at 3am this morning, Bailey decided it was finally time to let his personality shine! He exploded with energy, wanted to play ball, stole a few shoes, and generally made sure everyone knew he was awake.

It was such a lovely moment to see him relaxed enough to trust, play, and simply enjoy being a dog , but 3am is a tough one 😂😂

Bailey is almost two years old, and can't wait to watch his confidence grow over the coming weeks and months.

Happy and contented dogs don’t happen by accident they start with a great walk !

To sweeten things over summer I will be running a promotional campaign from now until September 30th 2026

For every 45 minute or 1-hour dog walk booked, I will donate £1 to the RSPCA York, Harrogate and District Branch to help support, rescue, and rehome dogs in need !

Sunday is an exciting day for me as Bailey is welcomed into the pack!

Bailey is a rescue dog who is flying all the way from Cyprus this weekend. Like many rescue dogs, we don't know everything about his past, but we do know he was abandoned on an industrial estate.

Thankfully, he was rescued and for the last 6 months has cared for by a wonderful foster family who dedicate their time to helping various rescue dogs. He has come on leaps and bounds and I couldn’t be more grateful to the wonderful people who have been involved with his rescue.

We believe Bailey is a Greek Harehound mix - if you have any idea on what else he is mixed with I’d love to hear your comments

Bailey was likely abandoned because he wasn't considered a good enough hunting dog. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think about, but I’m looking forward to continue supporting him as he grows in belief and confidence.

This week, in between professional dog walks, I've been busy getting everything ready for him . I genuinely get excited buying dog stuff and have to temper my excitement to not buy everything in the shop.

This isn’t my first rescue dog and i doubt it will be my last . Bailey will have his own challenges as he settles into a completely new life.

As a professional dog walker working with dogs of all breeds, personalities, and behavioural needs every day has given me the insights patience, and understanding to help him grow in confidence at his own pace.

Taking on Bailey feels like a natural extension of what I do. Every dog is an individual, and building trust, understanding behaviour, and creating positive experiences are at the heart of both fostering and my dog walking business.

It's never just about the walk it's about making every dog feel secure happy, and understood.

If you see Bailey and me out and about over the coming weeks, please feel free to say hello but do understand that he may need a little time and space while he adjusts to his new surroundings.
