In October I will return to University to complete my 2nd year in Clinical Animal Behaviour, so my availability will once again reduce, so this will be the last month I can fully open my diary with extra availability until I finish next year! 🩶 I’m genuinely committed to canine welfare, so much so, I did a degree in it! I graduated in 2025 with a 2:1 in Applied Animal Welfare Science. Welfare is at the heart of everything I do at all times and every dog is treated as an individual, there is no one size fits all.
🩶Not only do I have a BSc, but I’m also studying a Masters part time over 2 years in Clinical Animal Behaviour, meaning I have a very highly level of education, and very high standards when it comes to caring for your dogs! Once graduated, I will be a pre-certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist on the CCAB register, and a practitioner within the ABTC.
🩶I have 15+ years experience with dogs as my dad was also a dog behaviourist and we ran a rescue for 10+ years! It’s quite literally in the genes!😆
🩶 I have a Level 3 Ofqual qualification in Canine First Aid as well as Adult and Paediatric first aid. If ever there was an emergency situation, I wanted to ensure I’m as prepared for it as I possibly can be. I also carry my backpack on me at all times containing my first aid kit and other equipment.
🩶 I hold an in date DBS check. This is not actually a requirement as a dog walker, in fact, scarily there are no requirements at all as the industry is not regulated! But I have this just as an added peace of mind extra for my clients.
🩶 I have my own insurance, this one is also so important! Again, not required to be a dog walker, but so important! My proof of insurance documentation is available anytime upon request.
🩶 I have my own app! This one is a biggy for me🫶🏻 As far as I know, I’m the only dog walker in this area offering this. The app enables you to view and manage your bookings (if you’re like me I have to write everything down😂! So having your own calendar with when you’re booked in comes in handy!), make walk requests, view walk reports, amend your details and also showing live GPS tracking within every walk! This gives you the peace of mind of when I arrive, where we go, and when I leave! I love my little app, it’s no big deal to some but SO helpful and handy to have!
🩶 Science-based & Force-Free! It’s just positive vibes round here 💁🏼♀️ I use do not use fear, intimidation, aversive punishment based tools or techniques! Instead walks are focused on good vibes and yummy snacks (if allowed), just how they should be! Positive reinforcement based walks and training sessions means I very quickly become someone associated with good things to your dog 😆🥰
