Mernagh Bracken III is a London boy born and bred but his new home is now Scarborough with his new ladies. He'll be a busy boy this breeding season!

We are proud to be doing our bit to protect the future for this gorgeous rare breed which currently has less than 1,000 breeding ewes left in the UK.

The breed was reduced to a single surviving flock of just ten ewes and two rams following a major cull in 1970 and so all modern Castlemilk Moorits descend from this tiny group, carefully bred by committed breeders and enthusiasts throughout the years since to maximise genetic diversity and prevent inbreeding depression.

This new boy is an important part of that vision 👏
