Meet Betsy. A 16hh, 4 year old bay mare. Very clean limbed with 4 lovely paces. Betsy is an off the track thoroughbred. She ran 6 times on the flat and twice over hurdles. She has been retired from racing due to no other reason other then shes not the quickest on the track. Bless her!

Her last run was on the 17 November 2024. She went on to have some time in the field to let herself go a little and just be a horse.
She has since started her retraining and is doing very very well and showing some real talent. She has been doing lots in the school, working on her flat work and is coming on nicely. She has recently started doing some jumping in some bigger arenas like Crofton Manor and is showing a lot of promise, going over coloured poles, fillers and oxers. Being that it is all very new to her, we haven't been pushing her on height but she has a good amount of scope to go into the higher side of classes.

Betsy is good to hack alone or in company and is very used to traffic, including all farming machinery. Good to load, travel, catch and for the farrier. The only thing she has been known to do is buck when she gets frustrated with herself when she struggles to do something but is never horrible with it. She's very soft in the mouth so she's currently in a loose ring snaffle.
Betsy a very kind animal and is amazing with all ages on the ground and in her stable.
