We are a not for profit organisation dedicated to promoting positive practise in canine ownership, welfare and understanding via our BK9 confident e-learning programme. Rescue Dogs to Adopt - The organisation helps dogs in need by finding them suitable new homes. Some of our dogs have lived in shelters or been abandoned, most of our dogs reside in a dedicated foster home until they find their “for
ever home.”
Rehoming Your Dog – We offer a FREE, confidential service to help owners rehome their dogs safely where they have had a change of circumstances. This service is to prevent dogs going into shelters, being euthanised or sold/rehomed unsafely on social media. We will assist any owner to rehome their dog safely via our own register of adopters wishing to adopt a dog. BK9 Confident E-Learning Courses & Resources - We provide e-learning courses and resources which promote positive practice in canine ownership, welfare & understanding and address all sorts of owner and dog issues using the latest scientific evidence and understanding developed by experienced canine professionals to ensure every owner and their dog has the affordable help they need. FREE Training for Dog Rescues - The organisation also provides all of its BK9 Confident training courses and resources FREE OF CHARGE to any established dog rescue who wishes to nominate their volunteers or staff. Canine Behaviourist Telephone Consultations - We offer 30-minute and 15-minute structured telephone consultations with professional canine behaviourists. Functional Analysis & Behaviour Diagnostics Reports - We provide these for any owner who requires a thorough written presentation of advice and guidance to combat complex problems where their dog may be demonstrating multiple unwanted behaviours. Different dogs can exhibit identical behaviour, but the behaviour of each dog may have a completely different reason behind it, these reports identify the cause of the behaviour before treatment is recommended, we highly recommend these. FREE Training Courses & Resources - These are available on our website in our resource library. The organisation is committed to promoting positive practice in canine ownership, welfare & understanding via its BK9 Confident e-learning courses and resources using up to date, clear and understandable, scientific based information on how to understand your dog and meet their needs better to prevent unwanted problems and behaviours like separation anxiety, aggression, dominance, fears and phobias, biting, etc. The BK9 Confident courses and resources were developed by Jo Brewer and other associated canine professionals, Jo is an Advanced Canine Behaviourist with 30 years’ experience with rescue dogs. All revenue raised from BK9 Confident courses contribute to the care and rehabilitation of rescue dogs in our foster care, this is our charitable purpose.
