Melodies Walk Please join us... Melodie was a much loved resident of Rockford Green, Ringwood and lived opposite the Alice Lisle Pub.

After a hugely successful Walk and Country & Western themed evening party last year, we are back bigger and better than ever to host Ringwood's finest summer party, raising crucial funding for Macmillan Caring Locally!! In 2015 Melodie was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer and after a valiant battle with the disease she passed away the following year. Within that year Melodie committed to a fund ra

ising event in support of the Royal Marsden. She hit on the idea of a 15 mile walk from the Alice Lisle Pub to the Royal Oak Fritham and back. This was a huge success and to Melodies delight, the support from her family, friends, the Alice Lisle and Royal Oak along with entrance fees, raffle tickets and an auction resulted in an astonishing £25,000 being raised. Sadly Melodie passed away a couple of weeks after this but we are so grateful she got to see the results of the amazing work she had done. In memory of Melodie her family and friends have continued this event for the local hospice, MacMillan Caring locally in Christchurch in recognition of the care given to her in the final days. To date the event has raised over £50,000. This year the walk will be taking place on the 10th May 2025, starting at the Alice Lisle, if you and your furry friends would like to join for a fun day please drop us a message and we will respond as quickly as possible.

✨We still can’t get over how incredible yesterday was!

It’s truly amazing to see people of all ages having the time of their life, singing, dancing and just soaking up the feel good vibes with their friends and family! 💃

🤠 I think it’s safe to say we’ve got a young generation that will be flying the flag for this incredible event for many years to come 🙌

Year after year, our community continues to show up with kindness, generosity and unwavering support, and we honestly couldn’t do this without you. There are simply too many amazing businesses to name individually, but please know how truly grateful everyone associated with Melodie’s Walk is for every donation, every share, every bit of encouragement and support. 💚

Community spirit is what keeps events like this alive, especially during difficult times, and the businesses of Ringwood continue to prove just how special this town really is. Your support means more than words can say.

A huge thank you to and all the family for very kindly donating a 2-night stay in their beautiful shepherd’s hut, including a delicious Ploughman’s lunch for 2 🧺🍞🧀
