JMP pond service had another SOS pond liner issue for one of our lovely customers,which wasn’t easy due to the stone and rock surround.Normally we would remove all the stone but due to the extreme amount that was originally put in it would be a massive job and time isn’t on our side.
So we needed to come up with a fixing system for the new liner and added a fibreglass waterfall so we know none of the natural stone would fail on us.Some times you need to adapt to the situation rather than doing it by the book,so thats we did and to be fare its done the job.Customer is happy me and Simon are happy job done.

JMP pond service had a SOS job to do due to a liner fail,as you can see from the pictures the waterproof layer has split and losing water daily.So Simon removed the stone capping and old liner out and new EPDM rubber liner in.We saved the original water and had it filtered when the work was getting done so when liner was in the fish were happy to back in asap.

Hi we hard the a great opportunity to re-create a pond which was a few years old and very heavily covered in stone and gravel,which unfortunately reduced swimming area for some amazing fish.
So 1st thing was to strip it all out and temporary pool for our fishy friends,then we needed to decide which way to go?full re design or use the back bone of the pond and just increase size and volume.More fish viewing rather than stone landscape(these fish aren’t from rocky pools)so thats what we did!
2m wider and over 3ft deep giving the fish plenty of swimming area but enough swallow for plants.
I have noticed over the years doing ponds for some reason we put Our vision of what a pond should look like not how the fish would love to live in,i remember when doing tropical fish they would thrive in a tank which was setup for them not us for example if the fish came from rocky pools with no plants thats what we did and thrived!But plant it out and different lighting they don’t do so good.So from this pond we reduced stone to the edge,some in the marginal areas and the rest was plants and more next year.Two filter systems so reduced dead spots in the pond and two water inlets for extra movement.
Crisp outer edging to make maintenance easier for the customer and modern finish to setup the new pond area,pebbles one side and lawn on the other.
The overall project was worth the digging and rain.

As time goes on your pond will need more help to control waste,water quality and due to increase of fish and size general maintance.So out with the old pressure filter and in with Oase 90000 screenmatic.
Amazing filter with 110 uv should get this pond running better for years to come.

Very large pond needed a little extra,so we installed a Oase floating fountain with variable height setting to give it that special effect.With 3 led lights and WIFI Control unit so no need to turn it on or off just use your phone.
Because it floats the pump doesn’t sit in the bottom of the pond or lake so needs little or no maintance,ideal for large bodies of water.

Great job to do last week,unfortunately the original design had the filter at the same end of the pond so no proper water circulation and reduced clarification so new design needed.
So something different ,remove old filter and fit a new Oase filter clear pressure system but with a twist!Gabion wall was created to hide filter,pipe work and electrics.We added a chrome blade for return,with a circulation overflow pipe in the pond behind the plants and rocks to move the water to prevent holding areas for waste.
The chrome blade had an added element of led strip and led lights around the top to highlight the cobbles and create added texture to a hard standing feature.
End result looks in keeping with its surroundings and better still easy to service the pressure filter for years to come.

This week me and Simon had the job of finding,saving and bringing this large pond back from being totally overgrown with water plants and w**ds.About 20 years of plant growth had taken over this pond and eaten up the pump causing some many issues,Yes plants are great keeping the biodiversity and water quality right but it can cause problems if not kept under control .As we all know plants produce oxygen during the day but also retract it over night,so this pond had only a puddle left of water which was going sour.
So we had to remove the plants which was easy said than done due to the huge root system on the boarder,but as you can see on the pictures the Monster Lilly,reed and w**d root ball nearly had us .We found the pump which had plants growing inside had totally burnt out the motor so unfortunately no longer working.The power supply was just normal cable under the turf (which is WRONG)without protection it will fail and trip the electric,so we fitted a solar pump.
Added natural stone and some new plants,including another aqua block island for the lily.
Now Simon worked his magic on the original path around the pond to finish it off.
Looking great for years to come
