PAYMENTS

Just a quick info post regarding bookings and payment

Our terms are payment on booking*. When you ask for dates and I send payment details, I do not write your booking in the diary until payment is made so bookings are not secured until payment is made and can be taken by someone else.

In my last business I spent so much time chasing payments and it took up too much head space remembering who was due etc that it became so stressful and time consuming. This is why when I started the dog boarding I started how I mean to go on and it's works brilliantly. I would rather spend time with your animals than doing unnecessary paperwork and chasing people.

If you ask for dates and I haven't got back to you it's usually the case of me being busy or off. However, sometimes I do miss messages so please feel free to message me again if I haven't got back to you in a few days.

*Payments for the following year(s) are taken from the previous July onwards. For example
-Dates requested now from today up to December 2026- payment on booking
-dates requested now for jan-dec 2027, payment due July 2026
-dates requested from July 2026 for jan-dec 2027, payment on booking
-dates requested now for 2028 payment due July 2027

Not a lot of availability this year.

Wed 1st to Friday 3rd July
Monday 7th to Tuesday 8th sept
Monday 9th to Sunday 15th November
Monday 28th December through to 2027.

2027 is getting booked up quickly with some dates already full.

What is this weather.

After the doors had been open for a few hours this morning and the room was still 17° but the underfloor heating went back on.

Underfloor heating is on all winter and doors into the runs are also open every day unless the dog is old, lazy, shorthaired, or a chihuahua! And they don't venture out into the runs when it's cold then we close the door to make them more cosy (we can watch on the CCTV to check). This way dogs can still venture in and out but if they get cold then they can come in and lay on the floor to keep warm. I've got to say though that the rooms actually do stay warm even with the doors open.

It's been lovely this weekend, and although as people living in England we do love it when the sun comes out, as dog owners we dread it getting too hot.

As a dog boarder, it's even more worrying. We have other people's dogs welfare in our hands. They need to be exercised but kept safe. This is why I love our wooded exercise area. We haven't even got full tree cover yet and it's already been a god send. Add to the fact that it's always breezy up here, it's an excellent area for your dogs to have an amazing time and run free.
