🌟INTRODUCING SURVIVOR NUMBER 4🌟

Saved by AFOT's 8 year anniversary campaign🌟

Another poor soul has been saved from certain death in the government shelter thanks to the annivsersary campaign donations!

This sweet little girl was really struggling in the harsh conditions at the government shelter. She has kennel cough, a bacterial infection, and she is completely malnourished. She is weak and is so incredibly thin, but that doesn't stop her from wagging her tail non-stop!

She is so incredibly grateful to be safe.

She is now getting the treatment she needs, and hopefully she will soon transform into a strong, healthy dog!

⭐️UPDATE FROM SURVIVOR NUMBER 3⭐️

Saved by AFOT's 8 year anniversary campaign ⭐️

Our latest government shelter rescue is doing so much better! Her spirit was completely broken when we got her from the shelter, but she has quickly turned into a happy, playful girl! She has had a vet check-up and has had her first vaccinations.

Time to start enjoying life!

Beautiful Cooper, discovered with his 9 siblings in a remote area of the Turkish mountains. He is desperate to find his place and has moved to UK kennels for a better chance of finding his home.

UK kennels are expensive, but give Cooper the best chance at a fresh start.

Please consider if you can help@us to fund Cooper’s care until his chance arrives.

⭐️UPDATE FROM SURVIVOR NUMBER 1⭐️

Saved by AFOT's 8 year anniversary campaign ⭐️

Our first government shelter rescue saved as paet of our anniversary campaign had a full trim last week. She is now finally rid of all the matted, bedraggled fur that she had probably been living in for months.

She has now left all signs of her past as an unwanted stray behind her and is ready to start afresh 🤩

✨️BONNIE✨️ - in UK foster for over a year, still no home

How is it possible that no-one in the UK wants gorgeous Bonnie?! She has been in her UK foster home for over a year, and still has no applications...💔

She is beautiful inside and out, a very gentle soul. Bonnie has just turned 4 and as you know has been in foster care in the UK since September 2024 and is flourishing in her foster home in Bristol. She is the sweetest girl as you can see from her pictures, currently lives with a resident cat, has lived with a resident dog, loves to be outdoors, travels well in the car and is fully house trained. Nicola her foster mother says this about Bonnie" She is great with cats,loves cuddles and has excellent recall, shy around new people but working on it, getting braver every day. She loves asking for pets and although loves being outside and out on walks most of the time you will find her asleep in her bed or draped over the sofa". This beautiful pure white baby needs a home - can anyone help on this group

Beautiful CANDY needs a home

A pure white beauty estimated to be 14-15 months old, rescued in Turkey with her small kitten in Sept 25 as they were trying to survive.

Candy was so protective of her little baby even though she was only young herself, with no regular food supply and attacks from other cats she was finding survival very hard.

Animal Friends Of Turkey were able to get help for them with a local cat Charity buy sadly the baby didn’t make it , leaving mummy Candy alone.😢

Candy is neutered, vaccinated & healthy, but is scared of other adult cats & would prefer a home as an only cat or with a young kitten (or a kitten can be brought in at a later date).

Please get in touch if you are able to offer a suitable home - a homecheck and voluntary adoption donation will apply. She can be rehomed anywhere in the UK. Please share and DM if you can help!

Our first new government shelter rescue funded by AFOT's 8th Anniversary fundraiser had her vet check up today!

Her eartag was removed, so she has officially left her past as a dog with a number instead of a name behind her ❤️

She has received her first vaccinations and tested negative for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leishmania and Anaplasma.

She had an eye examination, which showed that she has conjunctivitis. She has probably had this for a while, and it has started to cause damage to her eye.

This poor girl was just rotting away in the government shelter! Thank you for helping us to save her ❤️

Just look at this amazing update for POPPY, from the UK kennels she is currently staying in!

Nothing fazes her! She is so calm and doesn’t seem bothered by anything, what an amazing girl ❤️❤️

You may remember POPPY was found as a puppy with her mum and nine siblings in an isolated area in the Turkish mountains. A kind family started feeding the dogs, knowing they wouldn’t survive otherwise then reached out to AFOT for help.

Our kind supporters helped us to raise the funds to take on these dogs and care for them.

POPPY, who is now 3 years and 9 months, is so deserving of a lovely home. She travelled to the UK in the hopes she would have more chance of finding that perfect home.

IN CELEBRATION OF AFOT’S 8th ANNIVERSARY ON 4TH MAY 2026

We are launching a very special fundraiser/competition with a THEME of EIGHT

On the 4th May 2026 AFOT will have been going for EIGHT years, during this time we will be close to helping nearly EIGHT HUNDRED animals.

To celebrate AFOT’s 8th anniversary we will be doing what AFOT does best and helping EIGHT new dogs who have no future - we will rescue them from the disease ridden Turkish shelters where conditions are the worst of the worst and that without help, they are unable to survive.

These dogs will be known as the ‘Anniversary EIGHT’

we will be able to introduce the dogs to you as and when & after they have been saved from the shelter during the fundraising appeal period of May/June. Our first two were helped in the last few days and let me tell you, they would not have survived one more day …… we will introduce them to you on launch date ……

Of course we can’t do it without you our wonderful supporters- we will ask you to help & support by making a donation of £8 for each of the EIGHT dogs this is £1 for every year AFOT has been going!

TO THANK THE EIGHTY DONATORS we will be running a raffle on the 8th JULY with the donators numbers entered. THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE £250 AND have the privilege of naming 4 of the ‘Anniversary 8 dogs’

The remaining numbers will be raffled and two numbers will be chosen who will also have the privilege of naming 2 each of the ‘Anniversary 8’

If 80 supporters can’t commit then 4 numbers will be raffled to name 2 dogs each with no cash prize
