Boleybawn Willow 🤎
First ever event ✔️
Great in all three phases and a🥈🤩

Such a great day out with this boy, it may be small but the satisfaction is bigger, and hopefully it’s all good experiences and building blocks to bigger things. He certainly feels like he likes being an event horse 🙏

The biggest of Thankyou to for producing super going in all three phases, just amazing 🙌 plus great educational tracks. We all need to keep supporting these special grassroots green field events to keep the roots of eventing alive.

This is a smart mare with excellent breeding who has her quirks but will make someone a fantastic horse.

Lux is a 10yo 16.3 ISH mare by ARS Vivendi ex Olympic Lux - full siblings competing internationally.

I bought her as a 4yo from Ireland and produced and competed her as a 5yo before selling her to a small competent amateur lady locally. She had always been a good moving, good jumping and bold horse and loves a job.

Her owner then relocated to Singapore for work and Lux went with her! She continued to be produced for jumping and dressage but does not have an extensive competition record due to her time there. Her owner has since had two children and didn’t have to the time to keep riding and felt it was in the mares best interest to return to the UK to find a new home where she could have a more diverse lifestyle, kinder climate, turnout and hacking. If only all horses could have such wonderful owners 🥰

Since being back with us she has been to various local venues for schooling and training shows, Felbridge, Coombelands, Pyecombe etc. She would affiliate in any discipline tomorrow and I believe will make a brilliant grassroots horse with the right person.

And here is the BUT… she is clever and will test her rider, either by napping which may include standing up or by being lazy in the first five minutes. She needs someone confident and a bit bossy: Once you and her have each others measure she is straightforward and I have taught all my girls on her including apprentices who all also hack and handle her.

Lux was sold last month to what appeared to be a suitable home with full disclosure and after multiple viewings. She also sailed through a vetting which we have available (she is pigeon toed in front, always has been and is very sound). On arrival in her new home she was unsettled which apparently presented itself as rude on the ground and nappy under saddle. The new owner decided in two days that she didn’t want to persevere so we did the right thing by Lux and took her back. A small yard with a lot of turnout may not be her ideal arrangement, she is very happy with a few hours and then wants to come in normally. Since being home she has settled straight back in to her routine and work.

We are now offering her to sensible offers, she was sold recently for high four figures but this is with the understanding that someone commits to her a long term home. She need to be given a chance to settle and this is a fantastic opportunity for a competitive amateur or teenager on a limited budget.

⭐️ Beautiful Guinness is really ready for a new home where he can excel and have more time than I can give him at the moment.

He is a 17h 2015 by Harlequin Du Carel. With a super uphill frame, good paces and plenty natural energy and ability to collect he is a pleasure to ride with scope for so much more.

He has previously evented and show jumped to a decent level but I felt he didn’t love his job enough to excel. Luckily he moves beautifully and has enjoyed stepping across into British Dressage. Within six months he has racked up numerous wins at novice and elementary level. He has competed at the area festival and regionals and is ready to step up to medium level.

I’m sad not to be able to continue this journey with him but just don’t have the time to do him justice. He is in full work and is fit and ready to go to a show tomorrow but isn’t getting the consistency of training and competing that he deserves.

Guinness is a gem to look after, kind and easy on the ground. No quirks or vices. He would be sensitive and blood enough to ride, not sharp or silly but tries hard and will thrive with a quiet and thoughtful rider.

Based at Littleton Manor Equestrian in Reigate, Surrey

Sensibly priced to find him the right home and a straightforward sale as this is a hard decision and I would love to see him out winning with someone else.

🙌 Basil back out at Intermediate yesterday at 🤎

A classic eventing day…
🤩 Thrilled with a clear round showjumping
🤦‍♀️ Frustrated with a stupid drive by at the first combination XC, probably some rust on both of our parts…
🥳 But delighted that he could have a blip and bounce back to give me a super ride around the rest (his last run at this level was 9 months ago and ended with an injury so it’s been a slow journey back).

A reminder that it’s never linear and sometimes the wins are small and subtle but just as important. Now to work out where he goes next.

Thankyou to for the super early start, having him looking beautiful and dodging his teeth while he’s a pain to look after at home and at least a delight at a show!

Due to a few nightly short term injuries and booked holidays we are short staffed on the yard for the next two weeks. Is there anyone available to come and help? If you’ve been with us before even better! Accommodation available and could bring your own horse and get some intensive training in?

You knew they were coming! Not just horse spam here these days 🤪

🖤 Hyrox Cardiff 2026

People keep asking why I put myself through it?! Good question…

It started as a motivation to get fit and ride better, and it’s so much easier to train with a deadline and a goal. And somehow it’s turned out to be a discovery of another real challenge. To work so hard and be so distinctly average at something is depressing and inspiring all in one. There’s a great vibe and a support community that I realised bears similarities to the eventing word 🥰.

Yesterday was a challenge in itself, a mad logistical week meant I knew I would have to go solo and no cheering squad to keep me going in the last half an hour when you really start questioning life choices… but there is a real satisfaction in doing hard things when your body and brain says why?! And then the endorphins that come after are probably the reason why.

So another one down. Five minutes off my London attempt if I forget about a daft two minute penalty for a brief sat nav error over the wrong in/out. Some good bits and so much to work on.

Not sure what next but some doubles would be fun and I have a growing list of people who have semi-committed - you know who you are!

So here’s to some photos that make me cringe and proud in equal measure. And running out of the tunnel to start in to the Principality was a definite highlight, that definitely wasn’t on my bingo card!

I know I’ve already shared one post today but they deserve another….

Today we headed to with and Heidi to go jumping, entered the 1.20 and ended up jumping this double clear and then skipping round the 1.30 like absolute Queens 👸🏼

I don’t know how well to articulate it but It wasn’t just a good days jumping though… it was a culmination of so much blood, sweat, tears and training. Erin has been here with us at Littleton for a long time, I want to say 10 years plus 🥰 she’s a friend more than a client and we’ve had many good and bad days between us. Juggling kids and life and still having burning equestrian ambitions is sometimes borderline torturous 🤪 but passion is a privilege and I’m so incredibly proud that she’s stuck at it through the bumps in the road and jumped her first track back at this level in over three years.

With my training hat on finding that thin line of pushing someone enough but making sure that they believe isn’t easy and today I believed but also held my breath in equal measure!

So Erin you’re probably cringing at me writing this now but you should be so proud of finding a way to hit the edge of your comfort zone and keep going 💪🙌

Gushy post over and out 😘
