She told me she was ready to step up so we did 😍

A couple of rails half way round where I didn’t do a good enough job to support her but I’m so thrilled, it’s been over a year since I jumped a 1.30 and they are always good tracks

This mare has just excelled herself in the last few months, in July she was eventing at 100, in August she jumped her first 1.20 and after a few rounds at this level she has stepped up again 🌟

Not quite the journey and I planned when we had a mad auction moment in Pau four years ago but still very lucky to partner this lovely mare and to have such a good jumper to sit on 🙌

Finally a bit more time post eventing and summer holidays means that I can get back out on this one for some dressage 🤩. A couple of elementary tests to get back into the swing of things again and we had a lovely day out in the autumn sunshine. Hopefully I can squeeze in a few more outings and get some qualifications in the bag, that said he really should go to a new home if I can find someone who will enjoy him as much as I do!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for lots of our amazing clients and team here 💙

So many big achievements, small wins and bucket list moments ticked off. I’m endlessly proud of what everyone is getting done and mostly because of how much hard work it takes behind the scenes. I keep banging on about process over outcome but it really is true! Late nights, early starts, squeezing in riding around school and work, where there is a will there is a way and we really try and support everyone as best they can to chase their goals 💪

We have had horses competing British Eventing, British Dressage, British Showjumping and Cotswold Cup 🤩.

A few real highlights include… bagging a couple of wins and now the magic ticket to Badmibton Grasstoors next spring, what a journey it’s been so far and I’m just so thrilled for you!
also had a super season which culminated in qualifying in the Cotswold cup championships and putting in a super solid performance and even a write up in Horse and Hound!
stepping up to British Eventing in style
and .0 both putting in great runs at South of England to finish in the prizes

I’m sorry if I’ve missed anyone out, this really is just a snapshot of the last two weeks, there is never a dull moment!

💥🤎 Penny Pau jumping at Coombelands today

After a few weeks good training at home she felt super confident and relaxed, one rider rail from me but she was great. So much scope for more 🤩 you will have to prise her away but please drop me a message if you are looking for a beautiful, straightforward and scopey lady to jump big jumps on?!

Final Sam spam for a while I promise!

He’s now in the field with the sun on his back enjoying a well earned holiday. But how cool was he ? So straight and genuine, working his way through the questions and if in doubt just going a bit higher 🤩. On one hand I feel like I need to not get too over excited and contain my expectations, on another it feels like it’s so important to celebrate the highs when there are so many lows in this sport as well. Either way I’m just really enjoying the journey with him 🤎

🤎 Boleybawn Willow

This week we headed off to the super special with Sam for the 5yo championships 🤩

What a brilliant experience it is for these young horses and it’s been a long time since I’ve had one that has felt ready at this stage to go to this, beautiful courses plenty of terrain and so much atmosphere. He only did his first event four months ago and this was his sixth ever event and he’s taken to it so professionally 🙌

The dressage was green at times but pleasant, one pesky pole rolled SJ and then a super XC with one run out coming out of the water to a skinny triple bar 🤪 once he had a moment to assess he came back through super straight 🙏
A massive learning curve and he finished full of beans and still jumping brilliantly. He tried his absolute hardest all the way through which is the thing I just love about him. Now time for a holiday, which makes me sad as I enjoy riding him so much 🥰 but I can’t wait to see what he comes out feeling like next year and where it takes us.

🤎 Penny Pau 🤩

First time straight in the ring at this level today and jumped super for one down 🙌
She is definitely telling me that the career change was a good choice, she feels so happy and settled and is improving every time out. Scope for so much more to come, someone please come and snap her up as she is costing me a fortune in photos, she won’t take a bad one!
