Cornwall Pet Scan & Microchipping Ultrasound pregnancy detection scans £50. Microchipping from £15. Certified, LANTRA registered, insured, experienced, caring 🐾 Bookings are welcomed in advance.

I offer an ultrasound pregnancy detection scanning service for dogs, cats and goats. I am professionally trained, registered with VIS and certified to scan. I am based at TR13 0

MY SCANNER
I use a new veterinary grade, CE certified mobile scanning machine that has a crystal clear, super large screen and high resolution images. It is touch screen design meaning there's no keyboard for germs to hide. It has a cine loop memory so I can freeze and scroll back to the best images. This also enables me to save images and videos of your scan and send them to you via email or facebook for you to keep. SCANS
Scanning is non-invasive and there's no need for sedation or anesthetic. A water-based, clear gel is applied to the lower tummy area to obtain a clearer image. Scans are performed standing or lying down, whichever your girl is happiest with. WHEN TO SCAN
Minimum of 28 days from the date of last mating but nearer 35 days is better. If a bitch/queen is scanned too early, you may need a second scan to confirm pregnancy if the first scan is inconclusive. If an estimation of fetal numbers is given, there is no guarantee offered. Puppies/kittens can be re-absorbed, can hide behind each other or may be carried high up in the ribs. Also, due to viewing a section of the abdomen at one time, rather than the whole area, there's a chance that pups/kits could be counted more than once and you can get reflections. Cornwall Pet Scan services are offered as an independent opinion and does not replace veterinary advice. Message me via this page or call me on 07976 746160 (Sara)

WHY SCAN?
- It can rule out a phantom/false pregnancy
- Adjust and cater for special food requirements
- You can plan and prepare for the litter
- Inform potential new owners
- Check to see all is looking as it should and heartbeats can be seen
- To check all pups have been born

PRICES

Microchipping £12 or £10 if scanned in utero

The beautiful Dandie Dinmont Terrier is classed by the Kennel Club as a Vulnerable Breed due to the low registered numbers. So it was a pleasure to scan this gorgeous girl and confirm puppies were viable and developing nicely 💖 Willow after her scan found a comfy spot to take a snooze 💤
