🌈💔 Run free, beautiful Layla 💔🌈

Today, the world said goodbye to Layla, the most lovable, gentle giant, as she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. 🐾🌈

Surrounded by the love of her devoted owners, Layla was able to feel just how deeply she was loved right until the very end. ❤️ The bond they shared with her was so special, and the love they gave her throughout her life was something truly beautiful. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when a heart as gentle and loving as Layla’s leaves us far too soon.

Layla, you have left a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved you. You will be missed more than words can say, but the memories, love and happiness you brought will live on forever.

Taken far too soon, beautiful girl. 💔

Run free, baby girl, no more pain, just endless fields to run through. You will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever held in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know you. 🌈🐾

Tell me you live with Spaniels without showing me…

Well… here you go! 😂🐾

Lottie, Izzy & Nancy — three Spaniels, three personalities and absolutely ZERO respect for personal space or household order! 🤣

🌊 Running through the water? Obviously.
🟤 Getting covered in mud? Absolutely.
🧥 Wearing coats but STILL managing to get filthy? Their speciality! 😂

And then there’s this morning…

Three Spaniels on the bed. 🛏️

Lottie taking over.
Izzy causing trouble.
Nancy looking completely innocent, as if she has absolutely NOTHING to do with the chaos. 👀😂

You don’t own Spaniels…
Spaniels own you.

Your bed is their bed.
Your house is their playground.
The mud is their accessory.
And your personal space? What personal space? 🤣🐶🐶🐶

This is how you live with Spaniels… and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️

🎒🐾 HAPPY FIRST DAY BACK AT SCHOOL! 🐾🎒

Wishing all the little humans a fantastic first day back! 📚✏️

New shoes 👟, shiny uniforms 👔, packed lunches 🥪… and that “Muuuum, I don’t want to go!” feeling 😂

Meanwhile, our pupils are already looking very smart, very serious and absolutely ready for a full day of important lessons… especially PE, playtime and snack time! 🐶🤣

Good luck to all the children, teachers and parents — you’ve got this! ❤️

And remember… no running in the corridors, no barking in class and definitely NO chasing the postman! 😂🐕‍🦺

🐾 International Dog Day brings some VERY exciting news! 🐾

We thought today was the perfect day to bring some good news to all our wonderful boarders — old, new and future! ❤️

Whilst I’ve been dealing with my own personal medical journey and recovering from chemotherapy, we’ve also been busy behind the scenes renewing our licence with Wokingham Borough Council.

And we are absolutely thrilled to say…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Maddy’s Place has been awarded a FIVE-STAR licence for THREE YEARS! 🎉🐶

This is absolutely phenomenal for us and means so much. It shows that we continue to meet the licensing requirements and, most importantly, that dog welfare is always at the very heart of everything we do.

So we can officially say that Maddy’s Place is a FIVE-STAR home-from-home dog boarding service! 🏡🐾❤️

We’re not taking bookings just yet while I continue to recover, but when we do start back, we’ll be taking things slowly. We may start with just one boarder for a week, then gradually build things back up at a pace that works for me, the girls and, of course, our dogs. 🐶❤️

The plan is to gently increase our bookings over the coming months and into the new year, rather than jumping straight back into a full diary. This new chapter is about getting back to what we love, but doing it sensibly and making sure everyone gets the care and attention they deserve.

In the very near future, I’ll be sharing when Maddy’s Place will officially be back up and running.

For now, me and the girls are recovering, enjoying some quieter time and getting incredibly excited about this new chapter. 🥰

Two more chemos to go !
That 6 months went quickly.
We won’t be boarding till I’m finished treatment and will announce when we’re taking bookings again

Take a look at the post below about the unlicensed sitter.
This is why we go through the rigorous checks and paperwork not to mention the £700 cost of gaining a council licence. It protects us and give you peace of mind.
We have a licence visit tomorrow as ours is due for renewal at the end of August
Fingers crossed we get 5 stars 🌟
