🐾💚 From New Boy to Social Butterfly 💚🐾
Meet Benji, our lovely 3-year-old Romanian rescue and one of the newest members of the Wood & Water Walks family. 🥰

Benji came to us as a fairly gentle, cautious little lad, so his first week has been all about giving him time, space and plenty of positive experiences and he has absolutely smashed it. 💚

Earlier in the week, he joined Brenda and Rocky for his first proper group experience. Rather than rushing straight into things, Benji was happy to take everything at his own pace, quietly getting to know his new walking buddies and showing some really lovely social manners along the way. 🐾
Then on Thursday, he had a much quieter adventure down at Post Hill, flying solo in one of our group slots.

And honestly? He was an absolute gent.
🌿 Plenty of sniffing
💦 A little paddle through the water
🐕 Gentle greetings with passing dogs
🐾 No pressure just exploring at his own pace

The thing that has really stood out about Benji is just how lovely he is around other dogs. He’s becoming a proper little social butterfly, happy to say hello without being overbearing and equally happy to potter off and carry on with his walk.

For a dog who has already had such a big journey before joining us, it’s been brilliant watching him settle in so naturally.
We’ll keep doing exactly what works for Benji building his confidence slowly, pairing him with the right dogs and making every walk a positive one.

📱 Quick phone update!

Just a little heads-up to all Wood & Water Walks clients, my work phone has unfortunately decided to completely give up on me today and is currently not turning on at all! 🙃

I’m working on getting everything sorted as quickly as possible, but in the meantime I currently don’t have access to my usual calls, texts or WhatsApp.

All scheduled walks are still going ahead as normal unless you hear otherwise, but unfortunately I may not be able to send the usual walk/photo updates for the time being.

If you need to get hold of me urgently, please send a message directly to the Wood & Water Walks page/Messenger and I’ll keep checking here.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed very soon! 🐾🌲

Every Wood & Water Walks group is capped at 4 dogs maximum - no exceptions. We carefully match dogs by temperament, confidence and walking style rather than simply filling spaces.

💷 Group walks - £15 per hour

Our regular midday solo walks are currently fully booked, although we do have limited 3:30–4:30pm settling/assessment slots for dogs who may need a little time getting to know us before gradually joining a suitable group.
