It’s time for an Arlo update!

This boy has been a bit up and down recently. He was recently returned to us and after a couple of failed bonding attempts things weren’t going as well as we liked for him.

At the time he also started the odd head shake which was out of character.

Because of the behavioural change, the ear shake and him being a lop we decided to run him through the CT machine at the vets to see if anything untoward was going on.

Thankfully he doesn’t have middle ear disease but he does have a huge build up of wax and gunk in his ear canal.

He will be getting an operation in a few weeks to safely remove this before it causes him any more discomfort.

After that he should hopefully go on to live a very normal life! 🤍

His vet bill cost £350

Look who came for a visit!

Duke the Angora was adopted from us a few months ago and he recently came back for a groom 🤍

His owners have been doing a fantastic job of keeping his coat in perfect condition however it was attracting far too much hay so it was time for a trim ✂️🐰

Duke was very well behaved as always, It’s always so lovely to see ex-HIYS rabbits 🫶🏻

Meet Mafalda, Ada for short 🤍

Lovely Ada is 12 years old and has found herself at Hop in Your Step after her owners devastatingly had to rehome her.

Despite being quite arthritic this sweet girl is quite happy in herself.

Unfortunately her spay status is unknown and she will be visiting the vets next week to make a plan of action for her 🐰

‼️We know elderly rabbits being surrendered can cause upset for many however Ada’s owners had a very good reason to rehome her and we won’t accept any negative comments towards them‼️

I am very far behind on rehoming posts!

A couple of months ago Violet went to her new home with Crumpet! 🤍

The pair created a wonderful bond and are now loving free roam life in their new home.

Violet was one of the 99 rabbits rescued by the RSPCA and other charities up north, the conditions the rabbits lived in were absolutely horrendous but we are so happy she has her happy ever after now 🐰

Gregory is a familiar face to many!

His first few months at the rescue have been filled with a major operation, constant vet trips and a lot of medication.

Thankfully we are finally seeing the light at the end of the middle ear disease tunnel! Gregory (whilst still very grumpy!) has been healing well and he’s now off antibiotics.

We have a view to bond him with some bunny friends in a few weeks 🐰

We had quite a few rabbits at the vets last week!

Roxy, Ahsoka, Rey and Matilda all got their vaccine and a clean bill of health 🤍

Padmé is our little problematic girl, Many will remember her from when she had a mystery foot condition. Shes been doing well on her low dose of anti inflammatories and she hasn’t had a flare up in a while. Padmé also got her booster vaccination.

Rose is another complex rabbit! She’s got dental disease and a chronic tear duct infection. Her ongoing Penicillin injections keep the infection at bay but she’s due another dental in the coming weeks. She was very well behaved for her vaccination!

Finally Rufus was seen by the vet. He had a small yellow lump on his lip. He was prescribed antibiotics and thankfully the lump has gone. He’s being seen again next week for a check up.

The total bill for the visit was £388.00 🐰

I can’t believe that Edwina is still looking for her forever home 😱

This gorgeous rex girl is around 2 years old and was surrendered after her owners went through a separation.

Edwina absolutely loves head rubs and food! She can eat for england 🤣🤍

Like most rex rabbits Edwina does have some troubles with her hocks from time to time. Edwina never seems bothered by her hocks and for her it’s just normal.

Edwina is spayed and fully vaccinated with Yurvac and Nobivac.

She must have a companion (or two!) in her new home. She’s an active girl and needs a space that is at least 3m x 2m x 1m 🐇

Skye went to her forever home a few weeks ago with new best friend Ellery 🥹🫶🏻

Because of Skye’s past she immediately thought Ellery was a threat to her, Ellery was very forgiving to Skye and in the end Skye let her guard down and formed the most beautiful friendship with Ellery 🤗

The pair have the most amazing owner who wants nothing from Skye and just wants to give her a peaceful home. They live as free roam house bunnies. It’s what we always dreamed of for Skye ✨

Be good Skye, We absolutely adore you! 🤍
