Dartmoor Zoological Society We're just 15 minutes from Plymouth City Centre. A unique zoo set in 33 acres of beautiful parkland just 20 mins from Plymouth.
(1076)

We have a fantastic collection which includes an impressive selection of big cats, wolves, zebra, meerkats, tapir and much much more. Our restaurant serves hot and cold, drinks and meals and we can cater for all kinds of events, including weddings. The Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Mee wrote a book about buying the zoo called, We Bought a Zoo. This later became the subject of a major Hollywood movie of the same name starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johannson.

10 years on the zoo has been through a roller coaster journey but the conversion to charity in 2014 has strengthened it's future and opened up new and exciting opportunities.

Today is World Mental Health Day! ๐ŸŒŽ

This year's theme, "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change", highlights the importance of raising awareness, breaking stigma and ensuring every voice is heard.

At Dartmoor Zoo, we believe in the powerful connection between nature, animals and wellbeing. Spending time outdoors can help reduce stress, ease anxiety and bring a sense of calm. ๐Ÿพ

That's why every general admission ticket can be upgraded to an annual pass for free, making it easier to enjoy the benefits of nature all year round! ๐Ÿงก

Join us on October 12th for some spooky Halloween fun in our next Tumble's Toddlers adventure! ๐ŸŽƒ

Fancy dress is encouraged, but not essential! We'll play games, get creative with Halloween-inspired crafts and visit to some of our wonderful residents.

Tumble's Toddlers is a fun, social, and educational group for 2-4 year olds to explore their wild side. The sessions help your little ones to grow in an encouraging and playful setting. We would love to see you there!

We need your help! ๐Ÿ“ข

In recognition of all the charities who work to support animals and wildlife, Benefact Group are giving 10 charities ยฃ5,000 each in this limited-time special draw.

Dartmoor Zoo is far more than a visitor attraction. We are a sanctuary for endangered animals, a centre for research, education and conservation, and a place where thousands of people reconnect with the natural world and discover why protecting it matters.

By nominating Dartmoor Zoo today, Benefact Group would be investing in a charity that delivers real, lasting impact for animals and people alike, every single day.

To nominate, please fill in this form (it takes less than a minute) and share with your friends and family to give us the best fighting chance! ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://movementforgood.com/draws/special/animals-wildlife/

Thank you!
