🐾 What a day we've had at Sniffari Adventures Plymouth! 💚

Today has been one of those days that leaves you with muddy boots, a big smile and some very sleepy dogs! 😂

🐶 Miss L decided that every single blade of grass, leaf and hedge deserved a thorough sniff. No scent was left unexplored today!

💦 Mr B discovered what can only be described as the perfect muddy puddle... and naturally decided it was the ideal place to lie down! Safe to say he had the time of his life. 🤣

🪵 And Miss C? Well, she proudly found the best stick of the day and carried it around like she'd won first prize!

Throw in plenty of zoomies, swimming, sniffing, wagging tails and happy faces, and I'd say that's a pretty successful day. 🐾

Watching each dog enjoy their adventures in their own unique way is one of the many reasons I absolutely love what I do. No two walks are ever the same, and I wouldn't have it any other way. ❤️

It's been wonderful to welcome some new faces to the Sniffari family recently, and it's amazing to see our little pack continuing to grow.

🍂 September is already starting to fill up, which is both exciting and incredibly humbling. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their four-legged family members and recommended my little business—it truly means the world.

🐾 Hello everyone!

I know I've been a little quiet on here this week... but that's because it's been a very busy (and very exciting!) week at Sniffari Adventures Plymouth. 💚

We've welcomed two lovely new members to the Sniffari family, had lots of meet and greets, and despite battling the heatwave, we've still managed to have plenty of fun with enrichment, home visits and even a few picnics in the shade! ☀️🧺🐶

Days like these remind me why I started Sniffari Adventures in the first place. Watching dogs grow in confidence, make new friends and enjoy their adventures is honestly the best feeling.

A huge Sniffari welcome to Mr B and Miss L! 🐾 I'm so excited to have you both as part of the pack, and I can't wait for all the adventures we'll share together.

It's been one of those weeks that's left me feeling tired... but in the best possible way. I genuinely wouldn't change a thing. ❤️

I'm also incredibly grateful to everyone who's trusted me with their four-legged family members and recommended my little business. Your support means more than you know.

🐾 I know... it's not Wednesday! 😂

Normally, my blog goes live on a Wednesday, but it's been such a busy week here at Sniffari Adventures Plymouth that it's taken me a little longer to get this one finished.

This week has been filled with welcoming new members to the Sniffari Adventures pack (which I'm so excited about! 🥹💚), juggling the heatwave by swapping walks for home visits and early morning walks to keep everyone safe, and making sure every dog still had plenty of fun despite the soaring temperatures.

So... without further ado... it's finally here! 🐶

This week's blog is all about understanding your dog's communication, body language and signs of stress.

Did you know that a lip lick, a yawn or even looking away can be your dog's way of telling you they're feeling worried or overwhelmed?

The more we understand our dogs, the better we can support them, build their confidence and strengthen the bond we share with them. ❤️

With the temperature soaring yet again we went for an early morning walk to get out before it became too hot for the dogs ☀️

☀️🐾 Today's been a little different here at Sniffari Adventures Plymouth!

With the temperatures soaring today, it was definitely too hot for dog walks, so we swapped our usual adventures for home visits instead. 💚

Keeping our dogs safe will always come first, and on days like today that means plenty of fuss, enrichment, playtime in the shade, fresh water, and lots of cuddles instead of heading out into the heat. 🐶

Just because we can't go for a walk doesn't mean we can't have fun! Sometimes the best adventures happen right at home. 🏡🐾

And on a very exciting note... my new Sniffari Adventures Plymouth uniform arrived today! 🎉

I won't lie, I might have been just a little bit excited putting it on for the first time! It feels like another little milestone for my business, and I can't wait to wear it while out and about with all my wonderful four-legged walking buddies. So if you see me out an about make sure you say hi!

Here's hoping for some cooler weather soon so we can get back to our woodland adventures and splash about in the streams. 🌳💦

What a lovely few weeks it's been! I've had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful new four-legged friends, with more meet and greets in the diary. Thank you so much to everyone who's recommended me or shared my posts—it really does mean the world to a small local business. ❤️

If you're new here, hello! I'm Abbi, the face behind Sniffari Adventures Plymouth, and my goal is simple... to give every dog a safe, enriching adventure that's tailored to them.

🐶 Group Walks
Perfect for friendly, sociable dogs who love making new pals! We explore beautiful woodland trails, enjoy plenty of sniffing opportunities, play games, and, when the weather allows, cool off with a paddle or swim. I keep my group walks small so every dog gets the attention they deserve.

🐾 Solo Walks
Some dogs prefer a quieter adventure, and that's absolutely okay! Whether your dog is nervous, reactive, elderly, recovering from an injury or simply enjoys one-to-one attention, solo walks are tailored to their pace and personality.

Every walk is about so much more than exercise—it's about letting dogs be dogs, exploring the world through their noses, building confidence and coming home happy (and usually ready for a well-earned nap! 😴).

😴 Sunday Fun Day! 🐾

Can we all agree that dogs have the strangest sleeping positions? 😂

My dog has a real talent for sleeping in the most bizarre ways imaginable... upside down with all four paws in the air, twisted like a pretzel, or somehow hanging halfway off the sofa looking perfectly comfortable! 🐶💚

Every time I think, "That can't possibly be comfy," they're snoring away without a care in the world. 🤣

🐾 What a wonderful week it's been at Sniffari Adventures Plymouth! 💚

This week has been full of everything dogs love... 🌳🐶

🍃 Exploring beautiful woodland trails with plenty of exciting sniffs.
🎾 Chasing sticks and tennis balls until everyone needed a well-earned rest.
💦 Cooling off with lots of swimming (and yes... I somehow ended up in the water too! 😂).

There's nothing better than watching dogs enjoy being dogs—whether they're racing through the trees, paddling in the water or simply taking their time to sniff every leaf along the way. Those little moments are what make this job so rewarding.

A huge thank you to all my wonderful clients for trusting me with your four-legged family members. I genuinely love spending my days making sure they're happy, safe and having the best adventures. ❤️

💛 **This week's blog is a little more personal...**

Separation anxiety is something that's close to my heart because it's something I experienced with my own dog.

Watching your dog become distressed when you leave the house can be heartbreaking. I remember feeling guilty, wondering if I was doing something wrong, and just wanting to make things easier for them.

The good news is that with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, things really can improve. It doesn't happen overnight, but every small step builds your dog's confidence.

That's why I wanted to write this blog. If you're going through something similar, I hope it reassures you that you're not alone and gives you a few practical tips to help your dog feel more comfortable when they're home alone.

I'd love to hear from other dog owners too. Has your dog ever struggled with being left alone? What helped you both through it?
