A little health check with every groom.

Did you know that every dog who visits me gets a free little health check as part of their groom?

While I’m grooming your dog, I’m also keeping an eye out for anything that looks or feels a little out of the ordinary. Things like:
•New lumps or bumps
•Mucky, sore or smelly ears
•Changes to the teeth or gums
•Skin changes or irritation
•Changes to nails, paws or pads
•Anything else that catches my attention

I’m not a vet, so I can’t diagnose anything, but because I spend time handling and grooming your dog regularly, I can sometimes spot a change that you may not have noticed at home.

It’s one of the many reasons why regular grooming is so important. It’s not just about keeping your dog looking and smelling gorgeous, it also gives me the opportunity to get to know what’s normal for your dog and flag up anything that’s changed.

If I notice something I’m concerned about, I’ll always let you know so you can keep an eye on it or get it checked by your vet if needed.

Regular grooming = clean, comfortable, happy dogs AND another pair of eyes looking out for them ✨

Gentle around the eyes!

A little behind the scenes of bath time for Nevis. I always use a facial shampoo around the eyes to gently clean those little faces without irritating their eyes. It’s not Nevis’s favourite time but he’s very obliging.
