An amazingly fast turnaround from NaylorAgility on our order for 2m and 3m tunnels and pro sandbags.
Fantastic customer service!

These will be making an appearance alongside our other Naylor Agility tunnel, in our regular classes very soon!

Every one of the dogs that come to our classes love the tunnel we have been using for the last year. So, we decided to up the fun level and ordered these a week ago.

Now, let the heatwave be gone and the fun begin!

So, what’s been happening behind the scenes, when I’m not teaching hoopers?

I’m training to become a Canine Massage Therapist.
Here is the lovely Rita during her assessment for my third case study. She was the perfect subject.
Rita is a lovely old lady struggling with her mobility as she ages.
It’s been a lovely day spent with Rita, her pack mates, all with thanks to Sue Gilkes!

Thank you to everyone who has participated in my learning thus far, I still have quite a way to go and I will still need many more test subjects. Watch this space, you may be next!

Why do we cancel hoopers when it’s hot? Perhaps this can help explain…..

Why do we cancel hoopers when it’s hot?
Perhaps this can help explain…..

The heat puts pressure on many of the underlying conditions in our pets. The kidneys have to go into overdrive, the heart faces overwhelming pressure, and the lungs are worked to Olympic level. Pets facing this heat can exacerbate underlying conditions. That heart murmur may explode into a whole array of symptoms, the low grade kidney disease could become advanced.

Keep them cool, preferably below 19c, make sure they’re hydrated using water fountains and multiple water sources, add electrolytes if appropriate, wet them with COLD water periodically, monitor their clinical signs, and DO NOT, for dogs, think about walking in this hot weather.
