✨ END OF SEASON ARENA SHOW ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our End of Season Arena Show today!

What a fantastic day! The weather was absolutely perfect, and we were delighted to have such an incredible turnout of competitors and spectators. ☀️

A massive thank you to Lauren Johnston for judging and Sharon Johnston for stewarding, and to Sandy & Elaine Billiemore for the use of their facilities.

Thank you also to the MacKay and Livingstone families for providing the delicious soup and home baking. There were certainly plenty of treats enjoyed throughout the day! 🥣🍰

Well done to all of our winners and everyone who took part! A special mention to our Champions and Reserve Champions:

🏵️
In Hand Champion: Eilidh Reid & Brynseion Lord Louis
In Hand Reserve Champion: Heather Dixon & Newglen Senator

Ridden Champion: Ellie Louise Gemmell & Obi
Ridden Reserve Champion: Katie MacIntyre & Autumns Sunrise

Overall Champion: Ellie Louise Gemmell & Obi
Overall Reserve Champion: Heather Dixon & Newglen Senator
🏵️

We were also delighted to present the first Allan MacKechnie Perpetual Trophy today, a beautiful trophy kindly donated by Allan.

This trophy is awarded to a rider or handler, chosen by the judge, who demonstrates outstanding effort, endeavour, horsemanship and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A very tough decision, as everyone’s efforts are always fantastic and appreciated, but one young lady caught the judge’s eye for this award today… so, the first recipient to be awarded this special trophy was Carrie MacKay. A huge well done, Carrie - a very deserving winner! 🌟

Finally, thank you to every single person who supported the event — whether you competed, spectated, helped behind the scenes, lent a hand, or simply came along to enjoy the day, it genuinely wouldn’t be what it is without all of you. Your support, enthusiasm and good spirit are what make these days so enjoyable. ❤️

Here’s to another brilliant season in 2027 — and we’ll see you all again in Spring for the Pre Season Show!

Thank you everyone! 🐴

-
A couple of things to note:

Class 1 will all go in together but results will be split as a junior section (handler aged 16 and under) and a senior section, due to large entries.

Class 11 (walk and trot class) ‘go around’ format will be all competitors walking round together & doing an individual trot round the arena before being pulled in to perform individual show.

-

There will be no competitor numbers so no need to collect on arrival. We know who everyone is and it’s one less things for riders & handlers to worry about ☺️

-

All entry fees should now be paid. These will be checked shortly and we will be in contact with anyone with outstanding payments to request them to be settled before the day.

-

Class 1 will start at 10am sharp with classes following consecutively. There will be a short break between the sections.

-

A warm up will be available during the Judge’s lunch break, before the ridden section begins. We will also accommodate an additional warm up before class 13, as none of the horses in class 13 & 14 are in the earlier ridden classes.

-

It is going to be very busy in the car park so please be mindful of economical parking so we can fit everyone in. ☺️ Thank you!

-

🥣 SOUP & CAKES 🧁
We are going to trial having some refreshments at the show this time…
So, we will have some homemade soup and home baking available for a small donation at the show. A perfect snack to accompany spectating or as a refuel in between classes!
We don’t have facilities for drinks so please bring some along with you. ☕️

-
