6 Months of Miri’s Mansions!

Half a year ago today, we officially launched Miri’s Mansions and we can’t quite believe how much has happened in that short time.

• We’ve crafted and shipped over 50 cat trees for 45 amazing customers (and their very lucky cats!).

• Our most popular tree (and first design), The Playground, has been ordered more than 20 times.

• We’ve sent trees all over the UK from our Norfolk workshop. From Cornwall and Devon to The Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.

• Our Facebook community has grown by over 1,000 followers! And we’ve loved reading comments and messages from cat lovers all over the world—including Australia, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, France, and Switzerland!

• We had our first viral post reach over 100,000 views, with four other posts soaring past 50,000 views!

Whether you’ve placed an order, liked/shared our posts, left a kind comment, or sent us photos of your cats enjoying their mansions, THANK YOU SO MUCH for supporting our small family business.

We’re so excited for what the next 6 months+ will bring and with so many new ideas ready to go plus The The Cat Show Live next week (🙀) and the GCCF Supreme Cat Show in 2027, it’s going to be an absolute blast.

Every cat deserves a mansion - no matter their mobility.

When a customer reached out asking if we could modify one of our builds for her young cat, Birdie, who was born with radial hypoplasia, we knew we wanted to get every single detail right.

Radial hypoplasia affects a cat's front leg development, meaning this sweet girl relies heavily on her back legs to push and jump. Standard ladders and high jumps just weren't going to cut it.
We took time to understand Birdies limitations and researched how the condition effects her movement to make sure she could navigate every inch of her new playground safely and confidently. Once we had a feel for what was needed, drawings were sent over for approval from Birdie and her humans (see final 2 pictures).

Here's how we adapted this massive setup which is made up of The Playground & The Explorer connected by a 1.5m bridge:
• Backing boards on ladders to prevent any missteps or paws slipping through gaps.
• Wider ramps & extra intermediate platforms to break up heights and shorten jumping distances.
• Recessed rope channels built directly into the ramps and platforms to provide maximum rear-leg traction.
• Edge guards & extended ledges for safe resting spots along the way.

Seeing this design go from our initial sketches to this huge piece has been a brilliant experience and we can’t wait to see how Birdie and the other cats in the household enjoy their new tree.

Every cat should be able to enjoy outdoor enrichment safely so we are officially launching a Custom Adaptation Service (details coming soon)! Plus some of these extras will be available directly at checkout on our website.

The spiral staircase is definitely one of my favorite details on The Lookout.
It’s designed to be a feature piece for the garden that looks lovely outdoors, and, complete with a cozy hideaway space, scratch posts, and multiple elevated levels to climb, it hits all the enrichment needs for your cat too.

As with all of our trees, The Lookout is built with pressure treated timber and the stained to give extra weather protection and is available to be shipped UK wide 📦
