A quick note about this mad hot weather and care for our dogs in this heat 🥵

I'm not saying there aren't morons out and about, dragging their dogs around unnecessarily, when they could be at home or in their garden, but also consider the dog owners who don't have a garden, or live in a flat. They still need to take their dog to go relieve themselves, and some people aren't fortunate enough to have a shaded path straight from their front door, sometimes it may take a 2 minute stroll down the road to find a patch of shade. Some people also don't have the luxury of a car to be able to drive to a shady spot.

There are people out there doing the best they can with what they have, so please refrain from overly judgmental comments, or shouting at people in the streets for having their dog outside, unless you can clearly see and know their circumstances.

If you can, offer their dog some water, or tell the owner of a good spot nearby with shade and a water source.

Be helpful, not judgmental.

Making new friends is fun 😁

Once the manners and boundaries have fully set in, it will be group walk time for the lovely Blitz. He is a fast learner, and such a good boy!

This beautiful boy had his first social walk with my dog today. He was a bit rambunctious to begin with - being 8 months old this is understandable.

It didn't take long for him to be walking calmly alongside my boy. He also loved getting to know my little senior dog after the walk was done.

Hopefully with consistency, clear rules and boundaries, he will soon be able to meet some of the other lovely dogs I walk and become a part of 'the pack'. 🐺

I swear Ted and Sandy had fun too, they just didn't want to show it!

Group walks are my favourite. They can be a handful at times, but seeing them all have fun together makes it worthwhile....

If you would like to socialise your dog safely, get in touch.

I've had previously reactive dogs become a part of the group walks, so if you don't think it's possible for you and your dog, think again!
