🛑 STOP WALKING YOUR DOG ! 🛑

Most people think a dog walk is just marching up the pavement or around the block for 40 minutes. But that’s not what your dog wants.

A proper walk should look like this:
-Loose-lead walking (10 minutes there + 10 minutes back) – you and your dog moving together as a team, with your dog following you.
-Fun & engagement (a couple of minutes) – play, connection, interaction.
-The main event (30–40 minutes) – clip on a 10-metre long line, head to the edges of some grass, and let your dog find a scent and follow it. Again and again and again.
This is where your dog truly relaxes, resets, and feels fulfilled. Skip it, and you can expect stress and problem behaviours to creep in.
So stop just “walking” your dog.
Start giving them what they actually need.

Puppies don't have an "off" switch on learning. Every minute they're awake, they're absorbing — what works, what gets a reaction, what gets them attention, what gets them food, what gets them their own way.

If you're not actively teaching the right lessons, your puppy is teaching itself the wrong ones.

That's where 90% of the behavioural cases I'm called in to fix come from. Lovely puppies. Well-meaning owners. Nobody actively steering — just hoping it would all work itself out.
