One minute she was running with gay abandon ahead of me and the next her back legs gave way. She plonked to the ground and her legs refused to carry her a single step further.

My heart matched her body and dropped like a stone. That question every animal parent dreads came swimming into my mind – Was this her time?
With a lot of effort I carried our much loved Wazo home that day and we took her off to the vets. The diagnosis was Spinal Arthritis with medications to try with a wait and see addendum.

I shared Reiki with Wazo every day for that first week and gradually she regained her movement enough to be back to gambling with gay abandon again after just over 1 week of recovery.

She managed a further 18 months of full life from this incident, supported by medication from the vets, herbal supplements and weekly Reiki.
It was an honor and a joy to experience the comfort and relaxation each Reiki session seemed to bring her and she easily settled in to the Reiki flow each session we shared.

Reiki can be a wonderful and beautiful support to our animal family when they are going through illness, injury or bodily stress.
